Pros
I have freckles and blemishes on my face. My freckles and blemishes have significantly reduced, and my complexion has improved. The inner glow, not just the surface shine, is something I've heard a lot of people say about how my skin has gotten better after using this product. After that, I've grown to love SK-II.
Cons
The price is outrageous, so I'm not using it right now. But as I'm writing this post, I'm still considering it. Please lower the price a bit.
Tip

There is a slight brightening effect, and you can immediately feel a subtle pearly glow to your complexion.
Cons
Perhaps due to high expectations, the brightening effect is only slight... The old Laneige essence had a similar level of effect, so this is not great value for the price. I would recommend the original Laneige product over this one.

I feel like I bought the duo set at the duty-free shop cheaper than the department store price. Rather than a dramatic effect, I feel like my complexion has been brightening from using it consistently. The application is also good.

By the time I finished one bottle, my complexion did become brighter, though not as dramatically as the advertisements suggest. But I could definitely feel the brightening effect.
Cons
The fragrance is not particularly good. After using two bottles consecutively, I felt the effects plateaued. The texture is also on the thinner side, so I personally only buy one bottle each spring to use.

Pros
I've been using this product continuously since the initial release in the early 2010s, even before the upgrade. I used to use the SK-II whitening essence, but as soon as this product was released, I switched to it. Compared to the previous whitening essence, my face looks brighter and my skin tone appears clearer. I've been alternating between the two, but ultimately I've settled on using this one. It's so good that even people ask me how I take care of my skin. I also introduced it to my mom (who's 60 this year), and even her friends say she doesn't look like she's getting any skincare treatments, it's that good.

The price was already outrageous, but it's become even more so after the upgrade.
Tip
