However, it seems like it doesn't do either function (lipstick, lip balm) properly... The color payoff is not good, and the color longevity is of course poor. It's also lacking in just providing the moisturizing benefits of a regular lip balm product.

Hmm... I've been using only velvet tints, but I bought this based on my friend's recommendation, and it was so smooth and nice. The longevity doesn't seem to last that long, and the color payoff is about average. This product seems like it would be great to use for a natural makeup look.

This tint has its own unique charm!! These days, only highly pigmented tints that are either dewy or matte seem to be popular, but this one is truly a staining tint with a subtle and delicate feel. The color is also soft and hazy, almost like our ancestors really staining their lips with flower dyes... This will likely divide opinions, but for me, it's perfect for a bare-faced look!ㅋㅋㅋ
Cons
As it's a water-based tint, dryness is unavoidable - it's super drying ㅜㅜㅜ The longevity is definitely lacking, but you can just reapply it~~ As a color deposit...
Tip
Since it's drying, don't forget to dab on some lip balm over the tint!

My makeup style is as natural as possible, so it's not too heavy. It has a touch of red coral with some pearl, and when I gradient it, my face looks lively.
Cons
Applying the tint horizontally leaves marks and the color payoff and longevity are a bit weak, which is disappointing.
Tip
If you apply the brush(?) vertically along the lip lines, the tint won't leave any marks!
