I've used this product before and thought I had written a review, but apparently not! While the photo is of a sample, this was the first foundation I ever repurchased. Initially, I found the coverage a bit weak and too pink-toned, which was disappointing. But by chance, I mixed it with a matte foundation and the combination was fantastic! After that, I always used it as a mixing product. Though I generally prefer yellow-based foundations, many products end up being too yellow once purchased. Make Up For Ever foundations tend to be pink-toned, so mixing the two creates a perfect balance without leaning too pink or yellow. Back then, I often mixed it with a thicker, yellow-toned Bobbi Brown foundation. Being a moderately thin, hydrating foundation, it blended well with matte formulas. This combination created a smooth, non-drying finish that I really loved. While it creates a beautiful skin finish, when used alone the coverage was a bit lacking. It didn't effectively cover redness around the nose or blemishes. Even though I bought the yellow-toned version, it still had a strong pink undertone. - wh********Oily SkinAcne SkinAug 29, 2020
I have extremely oily skin with acne and excess sebum. The texture of this product is very lightweight! The color blends well too. It applies in an incredibly thin layer. However, unfortunately, after application, it feels dry and flaky in winter. In summer, it breaks down terribly. It's surprising how such a thin layer can deteriorate so badly. It settles into my pores, making my skin look unclean. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJul 15, 2018
The only positive aspects were how it absorbs and its moisturizing effect. But honestly, nothing particularly impressive. The pilling was extremely severe, and at some point, the product just disappeared from my skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinNov 29, 2016
Achieves a natural skin look. It's great for mixing with other concealers too. To be honest, for acne-prone skin like mine, I need to blend it half-and-half with Shiseido Sports Cover to get that 'made-up' look. Zero coverage. I bought it because of the hype, but as someone with blemishes who needs coverage, it performs worse than most BB creams in terms of concealing. I absolutely won't repurchase. Also, the lid breaks incredibly easily. It's not even a cheap product, but seeing the broken lid every time makes my blood boil. I'll never buy this again. Even when I apply primer, cover blemishes with a stick concealer, and then use a brush to apply a mix of Make Up For Ever foundation and Shiseido Sports Cover, my makeup still disappears by nighttime. Maybe it's because of my acne-prone skin. - ma********Combination SkinNov 7, 2016
The coverage was much better than my previous foundation After using it, I noticed a lot of small blemishes appearing... - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinOct 24, 2016
The product has a thin consistency, so it absorbs beautifully. A small amount covers the entire face. Everything else is fine, but the coverage doesn't seem to be as good as I expected. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 15, 2016
It adheres well to the skin and comes in a variety of shades, so I can find the perfect match for my complexion. I really like that! At first, I didn't notice much, but as time went on, either my skin type changed or the product started causing issues. After using it, I began to develop small blemishes. Even though I paid a premium price for it, I've had to stop using it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 5, 2016
On days when I use this, I get so many compliments on how great my skin looks! I used two tubes, but strangely, towards the end of each one, it seemed to apply unevenly. I wonder if it has a short shelf life. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinOct 4, 2016
The coverage is excellent, and the finish is slightly powdery, which prevents any shine. It also lasts for a long time. When applied sparingly, it works well as a concealer too. It solidifies easily when exposed to air. If you don't close it properly, the liquid near the opening hardens and won't come out. It pairs well with the pore primer from the same company. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopic SkinOct 3, 2016
This is my holy grail foundation. The color is gorgeous, and even when it fades, it does so beautifully. I never needed to touch up, yet people kept asking what makeup I was wearing. It enhanced my complexion so nicely that I received many compliments on my skin. It seemed to suit my skin perfectly as I never experienced any blemishes while using it. I tried switching to other foundations when I got bored of using only Make Up For Ever, but after trying others, I realized... nothing compares to MUFE for me. The main drawback was the coverage, which was a bit lacking. However, for me, the way it fades and enhances my skin tone is more important than coverage, so it wasn't a big issue. Another disappointment is that it's been discontinued... I wanted to go back to MUFE, but it's no longer available. If anyone knows of something similar to MUFE HD, please let me know. I've read reviews of the UHD version, but apparently, the ingredients aren't as good as the HD, and the shade range isn't as diverse. I'm dreading the thought of having to search for a new foundation again. Applying it with a beauty sponge from Daiso creates a wonderfully dewy finish - it's a game-changer!
