But that's about it, there are more downsides.
ConsWhile it's understandable that it lacks coverage as a tinted moisturizer, it also lacks moisture and the color is really disappointing. I bought the lightest shade of Teint Idole and even then, when I applied this, my skin tone just kept getting duller and duller... I can't even begin to count how many times I wished they would launch a brighter version. In the end, I used it a little bit and then tossed it.

My skin looks better And the coverage is good and moisturizing. It also seems to fill in the pores well. I sometimes get a little on my nose when applying the base, but that's not the case with this. I just applied this after sunscreen. It doesn't have a sunscreen base function.
ConsI guess you could say the color is a bit dark...I was hoping for about half a tone up, and I bought the lightest shade, Teurnuvo, but it's practically the same as my skin tone, so I didn't end up using it lol. It actually feels like it's 0.25 tones down... I wish a brighter color had been available.

Let me describe it in detail! I've seen a lot of reviews saying that 23-tone people use Alaska, but I think it's a bit darker than the 23-tone. Even though it has a yellow base, looking at it on my 24-tone skin, I think people who are used to the Innisfree 23-tone won't be fully satisfied with the color. Many reviews recommend Alaska for 23-tone people. The product's advantages are of course the lightweight feel and that it doesn't make the skin feel suffocated. People who talk about the coverage of this product seem to be misunderstanding the product's characteristics. This product is more focused on enhancing the skin's 'texture'. Since it's lightweight, it feels less like you're wearing makeup and the skin feels more comfortable. (Of course, the ingredients may be a bit uncomfortable, but compared to Armani, it's more forgiving.) People with overall poor skin condition shouldn't choose 'tinted' products or lightweight foundations. Alaska has a yellow base, so it can cover redness to some extent. Of course, due to the characteristics of this kind of product, it gets less messy when it breaks down compared to thicker foundations. Personally, I don't really like foundations like Etude Double Lasting or Double Wear. If you value the lightweight feel and skin texture, you can use this product together with a concealer! Then you can achieve a much more natural-looking makeup.
ConsThe disappointing aspect was the longevity - it feels a bit strange, as after about 5 hours, there's a sense that the tone has darkened somehow. It's not that it's completely worn off, but the tone feels more muted. So sometimes the initial application looks a bit darker than when I first put it on. A similar but slightly different product is the Missha Waterblend Foundation. I use the y305 shade. Both prioritize lightweight feel and skin texture over coverage, but if you really had to compare the coverage, the Nars Tinted Moisturizer has just a touch more. However, that's likely because the Missha itself doesn't have a perfect yellow base, and the y-shade still has a bit of an ivory/pinkish tone (around 80:20 yellow to pink). In terms of longevity, the Missha actually feels a bit better. The Missha tone seems to maintain itself better. And the ivory-toned Missha shade is quite flattering on the skin. (Those who pick the Missha shade, kudos to you!) The y305 is around a 23.5 tone, and on my skin it has a slightly luminous but not overbearing effect, so I use it well. Nars is more dewy, while Missha is semi-matte. If you want something more hydrating, go for Nars. If you want more stability in oil control and longevity, Missha is the way to go. As for the dimethicone and PEG ingredients in makeup products, I understand. But please, can we get rid of fragrant allergens like limonene?
TipUltimately, the tools you use to apply makeup products can make a huge difference in the texture and skin representation. - Hands: Just like the way Nars intends, applying with your hands can make it look quite beautiful. The stable PEG ingredients allow for a smooth application. Using your hands can also help maintain the luminosity of the product. - Brushes: A flat brush works well. It helps enhance the glow of the product. But to be honest, the difference between hands and brushes isn't that significant. Those who find it drying with their hands should consider a brush. - Sponges: If you want to use this product even in the summer, use it with a wedge puff! It helps cover pores well and gives a semi-matte finish. In the winter, it's definitely better to use your hands or a brush! Using puffs or sponges can make you use more product, and in the winter, using a wedge puff can make it feel drying. - Using this with the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer is just perfect. If you have the Nars concealer, you should definitely consider this foundation. The pairing is really great. I'm using it with the Custard shade, which I think can work for both 23 and 24 tones. (Wow, I ended up writing quite a lot. But I hope this provides helpful information for those considering this product purchase.)
