It's not so much that it's great, but it's decent. Not bad. I wouldn't recommend it to those who like that squeaky clean feeling after cleansing. I do appreciate that the scent isn't too artificial. The price is wicked. I bought one when it was 50% off on the Korean official website. Probably won't repurchase. I was shocked to see how poor the ingredients were. The cleansing effectiveness might be enough for those who only use basic skincare and sunscreen, but for those who wear full makeup, it's only suitable as a second cleanser. The packaging is unappealing. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 30, 2019
Rinsing thoroughly with lukewarm water left me feeling refreshingly clean. Give it a try! I can't tell yet, but I'm planning to use it consistently to see the results. - do****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 22, 2019
Let me start by sharing my skin journey. I've been struggling with blemishes since elementary school. As a college student, not being able to wear makeup really shows how super sensitive my skin is. I can't even attempt to use other cleansers, toners, emulsions, or sunscreens. My combination dehydrated skin gets red at the slightest irritation, with dryness underneath and oiliness on top. I've tried various oils multiple times, but they just don't work for me, and I can't use products with oil. Even dermatologist visits were a waste of money and made things worse. However, this product isn't irritating at all, and there's barely any deep dryness after cleansing! It removes almost everything except mascara. That's why I've been using it for years! - Scent: It's not completely fragrance-free, but the scent isn't overpowering or bothersome. - Texture: It's hard to describe, but it's like a viscous liquid, similar to shampoo? It's not quite a gel, oil, or pure water! It feels slippery and remains so even after rinsing. It's far from that squeaky-clean feeling, which is why it's much less drying than other products. It doesn't foam up. - Irritation: Absolutely none, I promise! It's so gentle that you could even apply it to a dry face and wipe it off with a tissue. - Cleansing effectiveness: It removes everything except products that require a dedicated remover, like mascara. For my daily routine of isntree Hyaluronic Acid Toner + Dokdo Emulsion + Paula's Choice Calm Sunscreen, it cleanses perfectly. While it's great that it doesn't leave your skin feeling tight after cleansing, the lack of foam might be disappointing if you're looking for that Senka Perfect Whip experience. The bottle opening is a bit inconvenient, so I've switched to using a pump dispenser. Because it doesn't foam, you might feel like it's not cleansing well. But its cleansing effectiveness is actually excellent, so there's no need to be rough - that'll just cause redness! I usually cleanse for 30-60 seconds. If you go over a minute, the cleanser starts to disappear, and it feels like the impurities are being reabsorbed. The ideal time varies, but around 40 seconds is usually good, with a maximum of 1 minute. When washing, it's better to have your face just slightly damp rather than soaking wet. Use about a nickel-sized amount. On the rare occasions when I wear makeup, I do a more thorough cleanse for better effectiveness. I do a quick 30-second wash as soon as I get in the shower, being careful not to overdo it to avoid impurities being reabsorbed. Then, after washing my hair and body, I do another 40-second cleanse. This removes everything completely, though it can be a bit more drying than a single cleanse. So make sure to apply toner right after. *While one cleanse is usually enough, on makeup days (if not using a dedicated remover), cleanse twice! Just be aware it might be a bit more drying. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedFeb 25, 2019
You can do both first and second cleansing in one step. At first, it feels strange not to have that squeaky-clean feeling, but that's actually better for your skin. There are no real drawbacks. While some might see the lack of a squeaky-clean feeling as a disadvantage, it actually helps your skin retain moisture. And don't worry, it still cleanses effectively. If you're a guy who uses sunscreen, this product works great for you. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinNov 2, 2017
As someone with oily but dehydrated skin, I've always struggled to find a cleanser that's effective without causing tightness. This product is a game-changer! It has excellent cleansing effectiveness while being gentle on my skin. I'm definitely sticking with it. The packaging is a bit inconvenient. I think it would be easier to use if it came in a tube format. - eg*****Combination SkinAcne SkinSep 12, 2017
1. Moisturizing after cleansing: It's hydrating! While it's not a complete moisture explosion, it's definitely more moisturizing compared to regular foam cleansers. 2. Somewhat squeaky clean: After washing, your skin doesn't feel slippery, but has a slight squeaky-clean feeling. If you don't want to give up that clean sensation but still want a hydrating cleanse, this product is the answer. 1. Ingredients: Even though it's a cleanser that doesn't stay on the skin for long, the ingredients aren't particularly impressive. 2. Price: Primera Korea always lacks price conscience. This is why people opt for direct purchases from abroad. 3. Packaging: It's difficult to use up completely. You'll need to turn it upside down to get the last bits out. Squeeze out a small amount of this product and rub it between your palms. It will create a light, white lather. Gently massage this onto your face. There's no need to create more foam (no foam net or foam maker required). After thoroughly cleansing your face, you'll feel a slight squeaky-clean sensation and a touch of hydration. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAug 28, 2017
I've been consistently using this product for nearly 10 bottles now. It's incredibly gentle yet has excellent cleansing effectiveness, and causes zero irritation for sensitive skin. Even after double or triple cleansing, there's absolutely no irritation, and my skin feels no deep dryness after washing. There's nothing disappointing about the product itself, but the container is slightly inconvenient. It can remove even light makeup completely with just this one product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAug 18, 2017
Above all, it's incredibly gentle. Other cleansers can be harsh, sting my eyes, and cause tiny bumps, but this one is truly mild. I highly recommend it for those with super sensitive skin. It's a great value when you buy during the 1+1 promotions! Being a gel type that doesn't lather much, it tends to be used up quickly. You end up squeezing out more product each time, so it runs out faster than expected. For a more refreshing cleanse, try massaging this gel cleanser onto your skin, then add a bit of water to your hands and continue rolling it over your face. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJun 28, 2017
It's really great! It feels rich and nourishing. The only downside is that it's a bit on the pricey side. There wasn't anything particularly disappointing about it. Apart from being somewhat expensive, it's not overly pricey either. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 24, 2017
First off, I snagged this when it was on a buy-one-get-one-free deal. As a guy who doesn't wear makeup, this cleanser is all I need for my skincare routine. I only recently discovered the Hwahae app, and I've always had this notion that Paula's Choice products were trustworthy. But when I saw the ingredient list on Hwahae, I was shocked. After using this foam cleanser followed by toner and moisturizer - that's my entire routine - I kept getting one blemish after another on my forehead. I'm starting to wonder if it's because of this cleanser. I'm going to switch to a different product and update my review later.
