It was pretty average. It's heavier and stickier than regular lip balm, but not as soft as Vaseline. I use it before applying lip makeup to keep my lips moisturized and prevent product from settling into lip lines. There's nothing particularly special about it. It's neither great nor terrible. The design is pretty much its only redeeming quality. I'm hesitant to even give this one star. Honestly, I'm so disappointed. This lip essence caused my lips to itch, which is shocking for a product meant for lips. I applied it at home on bare skin, and it was the only thing I put on all day. My lips kept itching, and I realized this was the culprit. While my lips are generally sensitive, I never expected a lip product to cause such a reaction. It's incredibly disappointing. If you have sensitive lips, absolutely avoid this at all costs! The fragrance is noticeable, and personally, I don't like it. It's not particularly sticky, so if you dislike sticky products, you might want to try a tester before buying. Also, the container's opening is far too small. I wish it were wider while keeping the same amount of product. It's so tiny that it's hard to tell if you're even applying anything.
