This essence is a thin and lightweight type that applies well. The dropper format seems to reduce bacterial contamination. I've heard that the whitening function of this cosmetic doesn't actually whiten dark skin, but rather helps maintain the skin's natural color and prevents it from tanning further. In that sense, the lack of redness from prolonged sun exposure suggests the whitening effect is relatively effective. (My skin normally turns red when exposed to the sun for a long time, then returns to its original color, so redness is a sign of burning for me.) The moisture lasts quite a long time. Even though I used the samples in the kit sparingly, I still saw results. My complexion definitely looked brighter. The scent is nice, like watermelon? Anyway, it's a pleasant fragrance.. I'm debating whether to purchase the full-size product.

It does brighten my skin over time, haha. For those of us with combination skin and oily complexions like mine, this would probably suit dry skin types better.
