Since my scalp is slightly oily, using it about once a week, or twice a week in the summer, seems to be good.
Perhaps because of the oily scalp, I had some issues with it, but those have significantly reduced as well.

This product doesn't have a lot of lather, so when trying to massage it thoroughly into every nook and cranny, it ends up using a lot.
Now that I'm used to it, I can use an appropriate amount, but in the beginning, I would apply and reapply, trying to make sure it covered everything, and ended up using a lot.
TipMake sure to thoroughly wet your hair, and then part it with your fingers or a comb, like parting your hair. Squeeze out an amount about the size of your fingernail and massage it into your scalp. Doing this, even though it's a bit tedious, makes it easier to massage thoroughly and control the amount used.
(For reference, I have small nails...)
Focus on massaging the top of your head a few times, then do one side, then the other, and for the back, just use the tips of your fingers to massage as much of the scalp as possible.
The explanation may be a bit clumsy, but after using it, I found that I could use a smaller amount and still get a thorough massage.
The granules are a bit on the larger side, so it's best not to scrub too vigorously.
