White cast -> It's not completely absent, but it's definitely not severe. There's just a slight cast. 2. Application -> Although it comes out a bit thick due to the narrow opening, it spreads smoothly and evenly on the skin. 3. Oiliness -> It feels quite rich on the skin. My face looks shiny. 4. Scent -> The fragrance is a bit off-putting. I can't quite place what it smells like... Compared to the Plant Base sunscreen I have, this one falls short due to the shininess and scent. However, I did notice that the white cast is less noticeable than the Plant Base one. Overall, while it has some positive aspects, the oiliness and fragrance might be deal-breakers for some. If you have combination dehydrated skin or prefer a more matte finish, you might want to consider other options. I bought the large size to use on my neck, arms, and legs during travel, and it worked great for that purpose. I tried it on my face, but it caused eye irritation and made my eyes water, so I avoided using it there. However, individual reactions can vary greatly, and other family members were able to apply it to their faces without issues. The sunscreen settles into pores and wrinkles, causing makeup to look patchy. The application isn't smooth. It's fine for use on the body, hands, or arms, but when applied to the face, it makes makeup separate. So I only use it on areas other than my face. The makeup pills and looks uneven. I slathered this on generously since it's so affordable. It applies smoothly and I didn't experience any blemishes. It's a bit disappointing that it contains some potentially harmful ingredients. The texture is light and it absorbs beautifully. There's no white cast, and it left my dry skin feeling wonderfully hydrated. It stings my eyes and causes a lot of irritation around them. It's a perfect size to fit comfortably in your hand, making it easy to use. The texture is just right - not too runny, not too thick. If you're a fan of that 'just painted' white cast look, I'd recommend this. After the reformulation, it's like a completely different product. I've used this for over 5 years, but now A'PIEU is no longer part of my skincare routine. There are plenty of other options out there.
