Discontinued product Purchase location: Olive Young Color payoff: Great Application: Good Longevity after application: Don't expect much Moisturizing effect: Thumbs up High-moisture care with argan and fruit seed oils: Argan oil, peach seed, and plum seed A fantastic blend of fruit seed oils for long-lasting, deeply moisturizing lip care Wait, what? Long-lasting? More like a disappearing act! High-quality oils in a transparent base with high-definition pigments allow for vibrant color expression without dullness This claim seems somewhat accurate. Zero 'yogurt effect': Promises long-lasting shine and hydration without stickiness What's the 'yogurt effect'? It's when lip color, after a few hours, mixes with dead skin cells and tint residue, creating a clumpy mess on your lips. This goes beyond makeup issues and becomes unhygienic. This 'white' substance resembles yogurt, hence the nickname. Longevity is a letdown This water tint isn't the type of product you can build up There's even a sticker on the product saying 'Only pull out 1mm at a time' It also says 'No Reverse' on the stick I heard there's a cherry coke color too, but I'm satisfied with this one. It's the first time I've thrown away a lip tint - th*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinAug 22, 2020
The texture is quite unique. It's like an incredibly soft, oil-like consistency that really intrigued me. The color is a bit... outdated, to be honest. And the staying power is practically non-existent. - dl*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedNov 4, 2019
The glow is no joke, and the color is absolutely stunning. This isn't something you just swipe on and spread. Instead, gently pat it onto your lips, and you'll see the most beautiful luminous finish. Once you squeeze it out, you can't put it back in the tube. It fades faster than it stains. It's extremely soft, so if you have even a bit of dead skin on your lips, it can catch and create uneven patches. Exfoliate your lips first, then squeeze out just a tiny amount. Apply it by very gently tapping it onto your lips with light, quick touches. - dl******Combination SkinSensitive SkinMay 5, 2017
It's wonderfully hydrating and the color is beautiful. The scent is pleasantly mild too. Once you take it out, you can't put it back in. It's too soft, which makes it inconvenient. The staying power is quite short. - Hwahae UserOily SkinFeb 12, 2017
The color is beautiful and it absorbs wonderfully. It's so moisturizing that you don't even need to apply lip balm separately. Unfortunately, the staying power isn't great. It seems to wear off quite quickly. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 4, 2017
The color is pretty. That's all there is to it. Just the color... Wow, this is exactly why I got cheilitis! I broke out right after using this. Since I'm prone to breakouts, I didn't realize it was the cause and kept using it. But the blemishes wouldn't go away and kept appearing. This was the problem all along. I'll never buy it again, though it's discontinued anyway. There's nothing good about it. Throwing it away is the best solution. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinDec 22, 2016
I really loved how incredibly hydrating it was! It seems to emphasize dead skin cells... The staying power is absolutely terrible. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinNov 13, 2016
The only thing worth mentioning is its moisturizing effect, but that's about it... It's far too soft, crumbling at the slightest touch and constantly breaking off in tiny pieces, which is really annoying. The staying power is absolutely terrible, and it doesn't even leave any color behind. Honestly, it's just a waste of money. - dl********Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsNov 11, 2016
A red-pink shade with a high proportion of pink. It's not too cool or bright, but rather a slightly darker pink. When applied, the color comes out quite intense. It goes on moisturizing, and the hydration lasts for a while rather than disappearing immediately. The formula is sheer, so it's influenced by your natural lip color. It's great for easy application, just like a lip balm. Please note that once you twist up the product, it doesn't retract. This isn't particularly inconvenient for me, but it might be bothersome for those who prefer to use a longer twist-up. The color applies somewhat transparently, so the pigmentation isn't entirely uniform. The staying power is short, requiring frequent reapplication. It doesn't adhere well to the lips, so it tends to transfer easily. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 11, 2016
It's such a shame this product has been discontinued! Although I haven't tried many lip products, I can confidently say this one is a holy grail (even with my limited experience). The stick format makes it incredibly easy to apply... Aritaum, you owe us an explanation for discontinuing this gem! The most disappointing aspect of the Water Sliding Tint is that once you twist up the product, it doesn't retract. Because of this, it sometimes leaves marks on the inside of the cap.
