It's gentle enough to apply even before bed, which is why I started using it. This is now my second purchase! As someone with dry skin, I need that extra hydration before makeup, and this product delivers just that. I highly recommend it for those with dry skin. I also love that it doesn't have any artificial fragrances. The price? Well, it's not exactly cheap. I love Aesop's signature scent. As with all Aesop products, the packaging is beautiful. This product is truly neither here nor there... I bought it on the staff's recommendation as a moisturizing cream, but it leaves a severe white cast on the face. When applying subsequent makeup products, it doesn't absorb well and is difficult to cleanse off. To top it off, it has a low SPF. I've used it for over a month, and the more I use it, the more I regret the money spent.
