1. The fragrance is truly delightful. 2. It lathers up wonderfully. 3. The ingredients are of high quality. 1. Due to its quality ingredients, it feels a bit stiff when rinsing. 2. While it lathers well initially, the foam disappears quickly. It produces a good lather when rubbing, but dissipates when trying to massage thoroughly into the scalp. - pa***Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 25, 2021 (UTC+0)
It lathers up well and has excellent cleansing effectiveness! I love how it leaves my skin feeling hydrated! There's nothing particularly bad about it! Though the price is a bit on the higher side, unfortunately! - we***********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAug 26, 2021 (UTC+0)
When I was newly married, I fell in love with this product because of its beautiful packaging and delightful fragrance. Unfortunately, it made my hair stiff and caused significant hair loss. I was so alarmed, I thought I was experiencing premature balding! - dp*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcneJun 12, 2021 (UTC+0)
Review after using the entire 500ml bottle: If you're a fan of aromatic scents, you'll enjoy washing your hair with this. It's a mood-booster every time you shampoo. Another plus is that it lathers up nicely even with a small amount. Everyone who's visited and used this shampoo at my place has asked how I manage to use it, saying it's far too harsh. It lacks softness to the point where it feels like washing your hair with bar soap - super squeaky clean but not in a good way. - 20******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 3, 2021 (UTC+0)
If you love cleansers that instantly create rich lather and leave your skin feeling squeaky clean, you'll be absolutely thrilled with this one. The scent is a wonderfully refreshing citrus that's just delightful. I'm completely satisfied with it! I tried this as a hotel amenity and while it was nice, the price point is a bit steep for me to purchase it myself. - mi*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 13, 2021 (UTC+0)
It really seems to soak up the excess oil! I definitely noticed less greasiness compared to other shampoos, which is why I keep using it. Plus, people have started commenting on how shiny my hair looks. At first, it has that distinctive Aesop scent, but then it fades to just... your natural hair smell? The fragrance isn't great. Also, they say you only need to use a coin-sized amount, but it doesn't lather well so you end up using more. Disappointing considering the price. One more thing, Aesop has this eco-friendly image, which I thought justified the cost, but when I checked the ingredients on Hwahae, I was shocked to see so many potentially harmful components. I wouldn't call it a pro tip exactly, but to enhance the scent, I use a nice-smelling conditioner along with this shampoo. - in*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcneMay 19, 2020 (UTC+0)
I had heard at a department store that this clean Australian brand uses ingredients safe enough to share with your kids, which made me think highly of it. The shampoo doesn't lather much, so you need to wash twice, but I took that as a sign of its natural ingredients. After shampooing, your hair feels squeaky clean. It's quite pricey, and when I looked closer to write this review, I noticed it contains some potentially allergenic ingredients. Because it doesn't lather well, you need to use a lot to get a thorough cleanse. As a result, it runs out quickly, which is unfortunate. The scent is typical of Aesop products, which might not be everyone's cup of tea.
ha******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcneDec 13, 2019 (UTC+0)The fragrance is lovely, and my scalp doesn't feel itchy after use, so I'm quite satisfied with it! However, it does contain some potentially irritating ingredients, so I wouldn't recommend it for those with sensitive scalps. It doesn't lather easily, so you need to carefully adjust the amount of shampoo and water... Instead of rubbing a large amount of shampoo into your hair at once, try dividing it into two applications. This helps create a better lather. - yp*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 13, 2019 (UTC+0)
After using this product, I noticed a significant reduction in my scalp blemishes. The gentle fragrance during cleansing was particularly impressive. I was a bit disappointed that the scent didn't linger after rinsing. Also, the presence of potential allergens makes me hesitant about repurchasing in the future. My hair doesn't get too damaged even without using conditioner.
xo*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMar 2, 2019 (UTC+0)I used the 50ml miniature size. It's a transparent gel-type shampoo with a mild scent. Unlike other products containing peppermint oil that can sometimes be irritating while providing a cooling effect, the Aesop Classic Shampoo doesn't irritate the scalp at all. It's suitable for daily use, and I found it works particularly well when paired with the conditioner from the same line. The lathering was inconsistent. When I tried to work up a lather with my hands and apply it to my scalp, the bubbles quickly disappeared. However, when I applied the gel directly and then lathered, it foamed up nicely. As of the date of writing (March 2nd), many ingredients were missing from the product label, so I've included a photo of the ingredient list.
