I was satisfied with the original Bio-Oil product, so I decided to try this vegan version as well. It seemed to balance the oil and moisture in my skin, so I gave it a shot. In the end, I ended up using it as a body oil. While it's supposed to be fragrance-free, there's a distinct factory-like smell that I found disappointing. The original Bio-Oil product seems better in comparison. I didn't notice any immediate effects on my skin. It also takes quite a while to absorb, and I didn't really feel like it balanced my skin's oil and moisture levels as claimed. Due to dissatisfaction with the scent and effectiveness, I now mix it with a body emulsion when applying.

I thought hydration was the issue, so I slathered on moisturizers, but that only led to blemishes. Using this product made me realize the importance of proper moisturization. I first tried the Dry Skin Gel, and just applying it around my nose area quickly calmed the redness, eliminated dryness, and stopped the itching. I'll definitely keep purchasing this. For my skin type, I've found that bio-oil is absolutely essential! The Natural type has a distinct oil scent that might not be for everyone, but it doesn't bother me so I use it without issue. I also apply it to my neck area. My boyfriend's feet were severely cracked and peeling, so I mixed the emulsion oil with the gel and applied it. His feet have improved significantly.
