Blemish-prone combination dehydrated skin Texture: A soft cream with a rich consistency. However, it's not heavy and doesn't leave a sticky finish. Effects: As someone with blemish-prone skin, I noticed some positive effects. While it's hard to attribute the basic soothing benefits solely to this product (as I used it alongside others), it definitely helped. For combination dehydrated skin, which tends to overproduce oil when lacking moisture, this cream provided a good level of hydration. Its biggest advantage is the texture that delivers moisture without feeling heavy or sticky. I appreciated being able to use it generously without worry. It really gave me that feeling of replenishing moisture. Packaging: Similar packaging to medical ointments like Fucidin or Madecassol. This pharmaceutical-like appearance actually made me feel more confident using it. It sets certain expectations, you know? Just like how you can often guess a product's texture from its packaging, I had a pretty good idea of what to expect here. Repurchase intention: Yes, about 70% likely. It might be a bit heavy for peak summer, but I can see it working well for transitional seasons, autumn, and winter.
Scent: There's a slightly bitter smell. I think this is probably due to the high concentration (1000ppm) of Centella Asiatica extract. It didn't bother me, but those with sensitive noses might want to consider this. Packaging and nozzle: You know how Fucidin ointment tends to squirt out when you first open it? This one did that a bit too. Even though I followed the usage instructions sent by The Hwahae Testers when I first won the review opportunity, I was still surprised by how much came out initially. Now I just store it upright and use it carefully. Also, I suspect this packaging might develop cracks on the sides over time, similar to Fucidin tubes (so be careful with the sides). Compatibility with existing skincare: This is meant to be the final step in your routine. What products you use before it is crucial, so use with caution. Remember, the last product you apply should be the thickest in consistency. It might take some experimentation to find your perfect combination. Note: I recommend applying skincare products from thinnest to thickest consistency. e.g., Toner > Ampoule > Emulsion > Cream
My current routine: 1. Watery toner (Docto) or layering with a more concentrated toner 2. Cica ampoule 3. Essence (planning to skip in midsummer) 4. Centella More Cream At night, I apply a bit more generously. It's not quite a sleeping pack, but it does lock in moisture well.
