I was browsing the blackhead products at Olive Young when an employee recommended this, so I picked it up. It was on sale, and most importantly, it came with a brush that really caught my eye. After using it three times, I can say it's pretty good. I actually couldn't tell if I had blackheads or pigmentation, but it seems my nose has pigmentation rather than blackheads. It clears out sebum, and when I look closely at the dark spots, I can see tiny holes! Still, sebum keeps building up, so the brush is quite useful for washing it away. As for my cheeks... I guess those were real blackheads. After using this, my cheeks are noticeably cleaner. I squeeze my nose but not my cheeks, so maybe that's why? The foam itself isn't anything extraordinary. It has gentle exfoliating particles and gives a slight cooling sensation to the skin. If you dampen the brush a bit and roll it on, it lathers up nicely... not bad at all. To be honest, I quite like it! However, I strongly suspect it's the brush doing the work, not the foam. The brush head size and handle length are just perfect, so I'm giving it 4 stars. The bristles are quite soft too. I'll keep using it to see if it causes any irritation... if I don't forget, I'll come back to update my rating. Good luck to all my fellow pore-fighters!
Well... considering some facial brushes alone cost over $10, and I used to pay $15 just for a brush with a huge head that I had to be careful not to get foam in my nostrils when cleaning my nose... If I remember correctly, I got this for less than $10, maybe $8? The brush alone is worth it, and they even throw in a small foam cleanser. Plus, it gives that 'deep pore cleansing' feeling. I'm satisfied! Reading other reviews, many people found the brush painful, but the one I bought seems to have a different bristle shape. It's probably been redesigned. They should have used softer bristles from the start for a face product...
I use it every 3-4 days. I apply the foam to the desired areas without water, then dampen the brush slightly as I scrub. This creates a rich lather without water dripping everywhere. It thoroughly cleanses the pores, and since the foam is quite abundant, I gently roll the brush over my entire face for a refreshing clean! Afterwards, I willingly 'fall for' and apply skincare products that claim to help with pores. It makes me feel a bit better, you know?
