What Hwahae Users say
100% positive
This plant-based firming serum absorbs quickly and suits combination skin, though its herbal fragrance divides users and premium pricing limits value for modest results.

common.HWAHAE_TRIAL_REVIEWERS_DESCRIPTIONThe Hwahae Testers Review: ✔️ Late 20s, dry skin 👍 Texture: Despite being a functional serum, it has a light texture that's perfect for spring, summer, and fall use. No stickiness when applied before work or on the neck. 👍 Packaging: I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful paper packaging upon receipt. The container itself is also quite attractive, which lifted my spirits! I appreciated the hygienic pump dispenser as well. 👍 Gentle: No blemishes or irritation occurred. 👎 Scent: There's a subtle fragrance reminiscent of perfume. As someone who usually uses unscented or lightly citrus-scented skincare products, I found the scent unappealing. However, it does dissipate quickly. 👎 Hydration: While it's too soon to verify the firming effects, as a dry skin type, I definitely felt the hydration was lacking. - tj*****Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedSep 19, 2022 (UTC+0)Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

common.HWAHAE_TRIAL_REVIEWERS_DESCRIPTION1. The consistency is not too watery, it absorbs quickly, and doesn't feel sticky, which I really liked. 2. For an anti-aging product, it doesn't feel overly rich, making it comfortable to apply without feeling heavy on the skin. 3. My skin isn't particularly dry, so using this alone didn't leave me feeling parched. However, it's definitely not enough on its own, so a moisturizer is a must. I've only been using it for a week, and honestly, I don't expect miracles from skincare when it comes to wrinkle improvement. That said, I have no complaints and think it's a decent product for consistent use. The scent isn't great. Those who are sensitive to fragrances might dislike it, but since I'm not particularly sensitive, it didn't bother me.

common.HWAHAE_TRIAL_REVIEWERS_DESCRIPTIONCaudalie has always been a brand I've been curious about and fond of, known for its 'French naturalist' image. While I've tried their cleanser from duty-free before, I hadn't explored their range extensively. However, after using this Firming Serum, I'm truly impressed! My skincare priorities have shifted from brightening to anti-aging and wrinkle care. The product description mentioning '97% plant-derived ingredients including resveratrol, plant-based collagen, and hyaluronic acid' really caught my attention. An anti-aging product with natural ingredients - exactly what I was looking for! The packaging is sleek, luxurious, and beautiful, and I was pleased to learn they use recyclable plastic with the glass container. I have combination dehydrated skin - dry on the cheeks, oily in the T-zone. The serum has a slight viscosity but flows easily when tilted, with a milky, thin emulsion texture. It feels more hydrating than oily, and when patted into the skin, it leaves a plump, moisturized feeling without dryness. In winter, I'd supplement with a cream or face oil, but for summer and transitional seasons, this followed by sunscreen is sufficient. While it's hard to gauge anti-aging effects in the short term (and I don't expect miracles from skincare anyway), I'm satisfied with how plump it makes my skin feel. Overall, it feels gentle - not heavy on the skin, and I've used it daily for about ten days without any blemishes. I found the scent mild and natural - a mix of earthy and quality skincare fragrance. I was surprised by other reviews about the scent, as it's so subjective. It's hard to recommend based on fragrance, but I found it mild and natural compared to the artificial, strong scents of other famous international skincare brands. Hope this helps as a reference! The only downside is the price (at full retail). It's expensive compared to affordable yet decent quality road shop products, but not bad for an international brand available in department stores. I'm hoping to buy it duty-free once travel resumes and exchange rates improve! I found a great routine: in the morning, I use toner + Caudalie serum + sunscreen. At night, it's toner + Caudalie serum + essence + moisturizer. This works well - light in the morning, and deeply nourishing at night. Highly recommend!
