It definitely seems to have a soothing effect. The results aren't bad, but I'm giving it three stars because of the drawbacks mentioned below. It pills terribly. Never apply this before makeup. I especially don't recommend this for those who often feel they have a lot of dead skin cells or frequently experience products pilling on their skin. After my dermatologist treatment, my skin became so red and blotchy! I searched for so many products and finally found my holy grail!! Although there weren't many reviews, I decided to buy it because of the great ingredients. To my surprise, after using it for about a week, my skin calmed down significantly! My skin is super sensitive, so I was considering avoiding dermatologist visits altogether, but now I plan to use this derma cream after future treatments. It feels more like applying medicine than a cosmetic product, both in terms of packaging and therapeutic effects. Other than that, I can't think of any downsides. It's truly amazing for soothing the skin after dermatological treatments.
