As someone with blemish-prone skin, I've tried many 'gentle' soaps that still left my face red and flaky. But when I tried Caprina on a friend's recommendation, I was pleasantly surprised! It smells great and doesn't irritate my skin at all. So far, I'm really happy with it. If you have super sensitive skin like me, this might be a good option for you. When I went to the store, they were out of the scent I was recommended, so I ended up buying the original fragrance. Surprisingly, I actually like this scent. I'm planning to try the recommended one next time though. I saw a set at Costco that included the body wash and emulsion. I've been using this instead of body wash or hand soap, and unlike other soaps, it leaves my skin feeling moisturized and soft after washing. The lingering scent is lovely! It lathers well too. The soap doesn't get mushy! When using it as a body wash alternative, I can create a lather with just my hands, no need for a loofah or washcloth. It rinses off easily while gently exfoliating dead skin cells without irritation! I didn't realize it contained DMDM Hydantoin... Apparently, it releases formaldehyde and is a major cause of contact dermatitis. I have super sensitive skin, but I didn't notice any particular issues while using this, so I never questioned the ingredients. I was shocked when I checked the Hwahae ingredient list today. I bought it because Canadian dermatologists recommended it, but now I'm disappointed. I've deducted one star due to this concerning ingredient... I'll have to keep an eye on it for now. I purchased it at Costco, but I noticed it's also available online.
