As someone with very dry skin and enlarged pores in the T-zone, plus quite a bit of skin texture, I decided to try this famous Darphin product that's known for improving skin texture. After applying, there's a tightening sensation on my skin. It feels like it's firming up, which makes me think, 'Is this actually working?' If you have dry skin, you'll need to follow up with intense hydration after using this product with your toner. It has a tightening effect, so it doesn't feel particularly moisturizing! For those with normal or oily skin, you might be fine using this as is. However, I found that if I layer a rich essence on top of this product, my skin feels incredibly firm and supple the next day! - my*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 19, 2019
Among Darphin serums, this is the one I've seen the most results with and my absolute favorite. First off, the absorption is fantastic. It glides on smoothly for oily skin types, leaving a slightly matte finish while still maintaining adequate hydration. As a functional serum targeting texture refinement and pore care, it truly delivers amazing results! When I apply this, I notice my pores looking tighter and my skin more radiant and translucent the next day. The serum has a fluid consistency, and after application, a subtle shimmery residue remains on the hands - not sure what ingredient causes this. While Darphin's Intral Serum is good for redness and Hydraskin is for hydration, I was shocked to find their ingredients weren't great. Surprisingly, Intral has better ingredients, which was unexpected. I'm currently on my 4th bottle and have one stashed away - I get anxious when I run out! I really urge you to try this. However, those with dry skin might find it slightly tightening. If you have combination to oily skin and are concerned about enlarged pores or skin texture, you'll discover your holy grail serum here! The biggest drawback of this serum is its price and quantity. It's the second most expensive in the serum line, I believe. I've only purchased it duty-free, always around 80,000-90,000 won. In department stores, it's probably just under 200,000 won. The amount you get for the price is disappointing. It's 30ml, but due to its fluid consistency, one pump is enough for one cheek. For face and neck, you need about 7-8 pumps. If you use it daily, it absolutely won't last a month. A friend I recommended it to finished a bottle in just 3 weeks! Compared to other serums where 30ml can last 3-4 months, the price-to-quantity ratio is really unfavorable. Since skin condition varies daily, it's better to alternate between different serums rather than using the same one every day. I personally use about 5 different serums. I only use this particular serum once or twice a week at most. Even with this frequency, you can still experience the immediate effects that Darphin is known for. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 25, 2019
Hmm... While Intral has a slightly viscous, almost water-like texture, this one feels like a thin emulsion brimming with hydration. It's a translucent essence that's absolutely lightweight, yet it gently firms up pores and improves elasticity while leaving skin smooth. It absorbs well too! And there's no irritation at all. There's nothing to complain about... Both the price and the product are satisfying. As someone with super sensitive skin, I use this as the final step in my serum routine after using water-based products like Pitera and Intral. I mainly apply this in my evening skincare routine, adjusting based on my skin's condition. - sy********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedJan 16, 2019
This serum is fantastic for improving skin texture, absorbs well, and has excellent hydration. It's non-sticky and absorbs quickly, making it perfect for summer use. As someone with super sensitive skin who can't use just anything, I've experienced no blemishes with this. That's why I always switch to this serum a week before my period, pausing my high-performance or brightening products. It's also my go-to product for skin recovery when I've had a reaction to trying something new. I've been using it for over ten bottles now, so I trust it completely. While no single serum can provide all the moisture your skin needs, I believe this one fulfills its role as a serum perfectly. While this product is flawless in performance, I've deducted one star due to the unreasonable domestic pricing and some ingredients that require caution. This is great for use during sensitive skin periods without any worry. It's especially good for summer hydration needs. In winter, layering it generously provides decent moisturization. Because it absorbs so well, quickly following up with a moisturizer helps prevent that feeling of dryness. - ji*********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedDec 17, 2018
I love how well it absorbs and how quickly it sinks into the skin. It's great that I didn't experience any blemishes after using it. This product feels more like a toner than an essence or serum. It lacks hydration and seems to have no moisturizing effect at all. The scent is also quite polarizing. Overall, it seems like a product with little to no effect for its price. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 15, 2018
I have combination dehydrated skin with redness. I heard the Intral line was good, so I wanted to try it. Being in my mid-30s, I also wanted to start managing wrinkles, so I bought and started using it. The scent is lovely, and it seems to reduce the redness, which I like. I think I need to use it a bit longer, but I do recommend it. The amount is so small that I check how much I've used every time I apply it. Sigh. I wish there was more product. It's also quite pricey, so I bought it at the duty-free shop. There's no stickiness when I apply it in the morning, so I use a cheaper product at night and quickly apply this one in the morning, followed immediately by sunscreen. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 7, 2018
I've tried almost all Darphin products, and I think this line is one of the best suited for my age! Honestly, the Intral or Hydra lines were too light for me. This product seems effective for improving complexion and addressing early signs of aging. It slightly refines skin texture, and it's a great product for long-term use. The more you use it, the more you'll notice - your complexion visibly improves and brightens. It's like your skin just glows! Also, with Darphin products, you might not notice much while using them, but when you stop and start again, you really appreciate how good they are! The scent wasn't my style. It's a bit masculine, perhaps? Compared to other lines, the Ideal line's fragrance just doesn't suit my taste. I found that using this product along with the Tangerine or Orange Blossom aromatherapy oils makes your complexion even brighter and better! Apply it that way, sleep on it, and wake up to great skin. It's fantastic! - so*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJun 18, 2017
I've racked my brain, but I can't think of a single positive thing to say. It's expensive, but it doesn't live up to its price tag at all. I bought it because it claimed to improve skin texture, boost elasticity, and have effects on pores. However, I've seen none of these benefits. There's no noticeable hydration or richness, and my skin feels dry. It truly has no effect whatsoever. You might be better off purchasing a different anti-aging product. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMay 11, 2017
The packaging is pretty? Honestly, there's absolutely nothing good about this product for me... The scent is one I really dislike. It's heavy, strong, and has a sour note? Darphin is an aromatherapy brand, and they say if you inhale the fragrance deeply before applying the essence, it increases the skincare benefits. But instead of feeling relaxed, it gives me a headache. Above all, it's terribly incompatible with my skin. It's meant for dry skin, so I thought it would be good as a nourishing cream for winter or seasonal changes, but that was a mistake. It's causing more blemishes to appear, and sometimes the scent even gives me headaches. It's too expensive to use on my body, and I'm at a loss for what to do with it. Absolutely not recommended for combination dehydrated skin. - or*****Combination SkinAcne SkinNov 28, 2016
The moment you apply it, it feels firm and smooth. After application, your skin becomes soft and velvety. I definitely noticed an improvement in my skin texture while using this. I've consistently gone through several bottles! Among Darphin essences in this price range, this one suits me the best. After application, it feels quite dry, so I immediately follow up with a hydrating moisturizer. Using it this way seems to work well.
