Great for hydration and the lovely scent lifts my mood every time I apply it. I've tried other Darphin oils, but the rose one seems to be the most versatile and easy to use. The price! It's quite expensive for the amount you get, so I tend to use it sparingly. However, since it's not for daily use, it does last quite a while. Also, I'm not sure if it has any dramatically amazing effects. Put 2-3 drops on your hand, warm it up by rubbing your palms together, then gently massage it onto your face. Since it won't absorb well if your skin is too dry, make sure to apply it after your toner or serum has been absorbed. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedOct 9, 2023
It absorbs well and applies smoothly without feeling sticky. Definitely great for combination dehydrated skin. It even brightens your complexion. Although it's on the pricier side, you only need a few drops, so it lasts a long time. It's expensive and not widely available. Unfortunately, I had a severe allergic reaction after buying a large bottle, so I can't use it. As soon as I applied it, I got small bumps and a terrible headache, forcing me to stop. I tried it on my body, but visible capillaries appeared, so I had to stop that too. If it doesn't suit you, it really doesn't suit you at all. Despite this, I think it's a good product, so I'm still trying different products from their line. It's great for mixing with other products. It almost seems like it was made for layering. Since the large size doesn't have a pump, it's convenient to buy a small bottle from the pharmacy and decant it for easier use. - go******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 28, 2022
Among Darphin products, this one offers decent value for money. It's the product I've used the most, and it's not oily but feels refreshing. Compared to Clarins Lotus Face Treatment Oil, which is quite light for an oil, this one is similar or even lighter - seems suitable for combination skin types. I picked this up while browsing famous Parisian pharmacies and used it sparingly. When I finished it, I kept buying it at duty-free shops. Some people find the rose scent off-putting, but I thought it was fine and used it comfortably. The rose scent in oils can feel heavier than fresh flowers, which might bother some. All Darphin oils seem to shine when it comes to makeup application. It's like they add a touch of elegance. Sometimes I'd skip my usual skin makeup and just apply this before going out. My skin would have a subtle, pearly glow that really made it stand out. Once, in dim lighting with a bare face, a friend complimented my skin makeup - when I wasn't wearing any! Generally, I don't find it too heavy even in the height of summer. When your skin feels tired, it's nice for a bit of therapy, even in warm weather. No matter how sparingly you use it, it runs out quickly. While the value for money is good for Darphin, it's not exceptionally so. Highly satisfying when used for makeup purposes. - ct********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 14, 2020
When my skin feels dull or I get those tiny red blemishes, basically when it's not at its best, I apply this after my toner. I use a tiny amount (about the size of my pinky or ring fingernail), warm it between my palms, and gently press it into my skin. The next morning, my skin's condition is noticeably improved! On days when my skin is already looking good, I'll apply a light layer of this, followed by sunscreen and cushion foundation. Oh wow, the glow it gives is amazing! Love it! The size and price might be drawbacks... I occasionally buy one from duty-free shops when traveling abroad and use it for a long time. And naturally, since it's an oil, you shouldn't use it too often. I use it sparingly (about 3-4 times a month)... I think using it twice a week should be sufficient. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedMar 25, 2020
- Absorbs well into the skin. - Not sticky, so it applies smoothly. - Rose oil is great for hydration, which really helps solve deep dryness issues. There's nothing to complain about... I always repurchase this product. When mixed with a hydrating moisturizer, it feels amazing on the skin. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedDec 18, 2019
Despite being an oil, it absorbs well without leaving a greasy feeling. Usually when I apply oils at night, I wake up with an oily face, but not with this product. It's disappointing that there's no dropper, which causes me to spill the precious product frequently. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 8, 2019
I have fond memories of getting Darphin treatments at the salon, so I switched all my skincare to Darphin products. I started using them in autumn when my skin gets dry. I used them in this order: Intral Toner, Intral Essence, Intral Eye Cream, Rose Aromatic Care, and Rose Hydra Nourishing Oil Cream. After applying the essence, I liked how the oil replenished any dryness I felt. Personally, I prefer the tangerine scent. The rose fragrance wasn't great for aromatherapy use. I apply a very small amount, dabbing it on my palm two or three times, then rub my hands together to warm it up before pressing it onto my cheeks, forehead, and chin to help it absorb. For evening aromatherapy, lightly dab some oil on your philtrum with your index finger, then rub your palms together with the oil. Place your palms over your nose, take three deep breaths, and then gently apply to your face. That's how they did it at the salon. - mj*****Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 24, 2019
I'm on my fifth bottle of this product. It's perfect for my combination dehydrated skin and suitable for use in any season except the peak of summer. The hydration is excellent, yet it absorbs well with a light, fresh feel (surprisingly fresh finish for an oil-based product). The moisturizing power is so good that I often apply it right after my essence, skipping my hydrating cream altogether. It doesn't cause any pilling when applied before makeup. And the scent is absolutely divine! Price: The volume is really small, and it doesn't even come with a dropper. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedAug 13, 2019
It's gentle and has a pleasant scent. It's not irritating at all. The mildness even improves my mood! The amount you get for the price is a bit small. Even though I use it sparingly, it feels like it runs out quickly... I apply it by turning the bottle upside down, dabbing some on my finger, then applying it around my eyes, forehead, and chin in that order. I also take a moment to enjoy the fragrance. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 8, 2018
Great hydration and doesn't sting when applied to chapped skin in winter. My daughter always uses it during the cold months. The amount is small, and it's heartbreaking if you accidentally spill it. I wish I could apply it more generously, but I have to use it sparingly, which is disappointing.
