It's really effective at getting rid of blackheads! The cleansing effectiveness seems pretty good too. After washing, my face feels incredibly refreshed. There's honestly nothing I disliked about it... If I had to pick one thing, it would be nice if it came with a spoon! Using my hands all the time works, but a spoon would make it even more convenient! - eu********Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 7, 2023
I bought this product after seeing it recommended in a YouTuber's video about must-buy items for Japan trips. Although it's pricier for something sold at Don Quijote, I had high expectations. I'm satisfied with its cleansing effectiveness and how it doesn't irritate my skin. I usually only use cleansing oils, but after nearly finishing this tub, I even purchased a Korean brand cleansing balm. I'm planning to switch to cleansing balms from now on! There aren't many downsides, but my vision gets a bit blurry after using it. However, this happens with cleansing oils too. Also, I end up with some dark eye gunk. It's unavoidable since I'm rubbing it around my eyes to remove makeup without cleansing that area separately. Use a generous amount for a gentle, irritation-free cleanse. - jd******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 4, 2023
This is the only oil-based cleanser I've ever committed to! I was thrilled to hear it's launching in Korea, so I'm excited to register and share my review. I started using it because I was concerned about blackheads, and I'm extremely satisfied with how well it removes sebum without drying out my skin! If Banila Co's cleansing balm is like sorbet, this one's more like Vaseline - just the right consistency without dripping. It's not sticky, cleanses well, and emulsifies nicely. I personally don't like the slippery feeling, so I follow up with a foam cleanser, but apparently you can just rinse it off with water. I used to do jojoba oil rolling to remove blackheads, but sometimes if I did it for too long, it would irritate my skin and cause swelling. It would go down quickly, but still... This cleanser doesn't have that issue, which is great! It contains phenoxyethanol (unfortunately unavoidable due to Japan's climate). Also, the Black Repair version is dark in color, so it can stain your nails if it gets under them. It does wash off with water though. This product is really famous in Japan, but that also means it's quite expensive... Buying it from duty-free online shops is about 10,000 won cheaper than purchasing it in Japan. In Japan, they also sell a mini size for 880 yen. It's supposed to last a week, but I used it for about 3 weeks and still didn't finish it!
