I'm currently using the Pokémon shampoo version! (I don't think there's any difference in formula or contents) Since Dr. Groot shampoos have similar packaging colors and product names, it's a good idea to carefully distinguish between reviews. The consistency isn't too thick, making it easy to massage into the scalp (though I also like the thicker Ryo shampoo). For an anti-hair loss shampoo, it's not overly sticky and has a slightly runny texture (still thicker than regular shampoos though). I'm comparing it to the Ryo Dandruff Clinic Shampoo (light blue!). It's lighter than Ryo, so it's great for days when I want to wash my hair quickly. Ryo is thicker, requiring more lathering and careful application. Compared to Ryo, I personally preferred Ryo. Dr. Groot isn't bad, but I found Ryo better for reducing scalp itchiness and leaving my scalp feeling cleaner. While hair loss is largely affected by daily biorhythms and stress, I felt Ryo was slightly better as an anti-hair loss shampoo. This might sound like I'm criticizing Dr. Groot, but it's still a good product. It really comes down to personal preference. I remember it being quite expensive, selling for around $25-$35 (for the blue anti-hair loss shampoo). For that price range, it's not bad, but it doesn't feel like something I'd want to commit to long-term. It's better than regular shampoos (like those perfumed or 'silky smooth' types), but given the price, it's not something I'd buy frequently. Since it's expensive even at the lowest online prices, here's a real tip: buy it second-hand for around $10 or less. I'm not sure if I should be sharing this kind of tip, but there you go! - ha****Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSep 15, 2024
It effectively removes scalp oil and has significantly reduced itchiness. I'm experiencing serious hair loss. I mean it, the amount of hair falling out is alarming. - hy*******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsMay 2, 2024
The scent is pleasant. Not sure about other benefits. I only used it once and didn't continue. Since Dr. Groot is known for its anti-hair loss properties, this product might also be effective for that. No cooling effect. What's with the 20 cautionary ingredients? That's way too many. Probably won't buy again. - pp****Dry SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMar 12, 2023
My husband has seborrheic dermatitis, a hot scalp, and hair loss concerns. We were looking for an anti-hair loss shampoo that could also cool his scalp, so we tried Dr. Groot Scalp Cooling Shampoo and he's been very satisfied with it. He says that when he uses this product, his scalp feels refreshingly cool and soothed. He also feels it cleanses well. As a result, he's noticed less hair falling out. Compared to other scalp cooling shampoos, the ingredients seem pretty good too, so we're quite pleased with it. The only downside is that Dr. Groot Scalp Cooling Shampoo can sometimes be hard to find in stock, which is frustrating. I think this would be great for people who struggle with an overheated scalp. - ny*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedAug 4, 2022

It's perfect for a refreshing wash during the summer months. I love how it helps keep the drain less clogged after shampooing. You definitely need to use a treatment or conditioner along with this shampoo. I use it with an affordable, large-sized hair treatment for best results.
