The texture lives up to its name - it's a lightweight gel that feels cool and absorbs quickly when applied. It's suitable for all skin types, making it easy to use. In terms of hydration, while many gel creams can feel moisturizing at first but dry out quickly, this one stands out. As someone with dry, blemish-prone skin, I was pleasantly surprised. It provides longer-lasting hydration compared to other gel creams, and being part of the Cicapair line, it's perfect for my sensitive, troubled skin. It's become my go-to product for summer. Unlike some gel creams that just feel moisturizing on the surface, this one seems to hydrate deep into the skin. Though the effect doesn't last extremely long for my dry skin, it's significantly better than other gel creams I've tried. The application is smooth and cooling, typical of gel creams. It spreads easily with a light, jelly-like consistency. The burst of hydration when applying makes it ideal for summer use. The scent is neutral, making it suitable for most users. I'd recommend this for all skin types, from dry to oily, but especially for those with blemish-prone or sensitive skin. As someone with troubled skin, I find the Cicapair line's soothing effects beneficial. It's gentle and doesn't aggravate blemishes. The calming effect seems to reduce redness by soothing the skin rather than directly targeting redness. Its lightweight application makes it comfortable to use, and while it might not be enough for dry skin in winter, it's perfect as a finishing step in summer. The deep, long-lasting hydration makes it a great choice.
The price point isn't exactly budget-friendly. However, the quality justifies the cost, so I often buy two when there's a sale. Also, being a gel cream, it does seem to run out faster than other formulations. One minor gripe is that while the Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Gel Cream is fantastic (I actually prefer it to the Cicapair Cream), it seems to be overlooked in collaborations and special offers. It's always the Cicapair Cream that gets featured, which is a shame because the gel version is equally deserving of attention. In summary, while it's an excellent product, finding ways to purchase it at a discount can be challenging. Despite this, I'll continue to repurchase it.
As someone with dry, blemish-prone, and sensitive skin, I always use the Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Gel Cream in summer. I find the finish slightly drying, so I mix it with Carenology Blue Oil, which is an amazing combination. The Carenology oil also has great reviews on Hwahae. If you have dry or blemish-prone skin, having this oil on hand can be really useful. The combination works wonders. They sell smaller sizes too, so I highly recommend trying it out if you're interested.
