I recently bought the Soon Jung line during an Etude House sale, as I heard it was good. I have extremely combination dehydrated skin, with oiliness around my nose even in winter. I also have blemishes and large pores. Before using Soon Jung, I was using Innisfree emulsion and Lush Eau Roma Water, which were my holy grails. So I had high expectations for Soon Jung. The positives: it didn't feel heavy at all. The texture might seem a bit thick, but it absorbs well. It felt like it absorbed quickly, probably because my skin is so dry. I also liked that it's fragrance-free. The hydration felt long-lasting, which was nice.
First off, as someone with combination dehydrated skin, the hydration was insufficient. I had to apply it three times, and it just absorbed quickly, leaving nothing on the skin's surface. And this is supposed to be the gentlest Soon Jung line... but I felt a tingling sensation when applying it. The day after using Soon Jung, my skin texture and blemishes went crazy. Just because it's gentle doesn't mean it's good. When I used the Innisfree emulsion, I wouldn't feel oily until lunchtime after applying in the morning. But with this, as soon as I arrived somewhere with heating, my nose was oily. I think it's because it doesn't provide enough deep hydration. And I got so many painful, deep blemishes... Why is this happening?
Being gentle isn't always enough... I've just ordered Amberpharm Salt Cream. Has anyone tried it?
