After using it, I noticed a slight reduction in blackheads on my nose The fishy smell is so strong every time I use it that I simply can't bear to continue - jj*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedNov 23, 2022
This product is amazing, but not many people know about it! If you're someone whose face gets really oily in the morning, you might find that even after using a low pH foam cleanser, it still feels a bit lacking. However, this cleanser is different - it's gentle, doesn't feel overly strong, yet it manages to sweep away all that excess oil. I think it might be due to the sulfur, but it really seems like a product born for oily skin. The best part is that it doesn't leave your skin feeling overly squeaky clean, which I absolutely love. It's on the pricier side, so it's best to grab it during the occasional buy-one-get-one-free deals. Unfortunately, those don't come around very often. - ze**********Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresOct 17, 2022
Known as the 'sulfur cleanser', this product has a rather complex name - 'Garancia Sulfureuse Pâte du Marabout'. I received it as a gift and have been using it since. The sulfur ingredient is said to be beneficial for acne-prone and blemish-prone skin, so I started using it with high hopes, as I still occasionally get breakouts. The brand also promotes it as great for managing sebum and oily skin. The texture is a thick foam cleanser with a slight coral tint. It doesn't lather as much as I expected, so I end up using much more than shown in the picture for each wash. The overall experience is decent. It doesn't dramatically reduce sebum or have a significant effect on acne as claimed. Surprisingly, it leaves the skin feeling quite hydrated, and there's a slight sensation of softness on the skin's surface after cleansing. While it's not powerful enough to remove a full face of makeup in one go, it's not ineffective either... just average overall. Unfortunately, I found the scent of this product quite difficult to tolerate. It's said to be the characteristic smell of sulfur. Initially, when lathering and massaging it onto the skin, other fragrances mask it, so it's not too bothersome. However, when rinsing off the foam with water, there's a sudden whiff of sulfur's fishy odor. It's not quite like the smell of sulfur hot springs, but closer to a fishy scent. While it's not strong enough to make you gag, considering that a cleanser is something you use twice daily... I'd rather not use a product with even a slightly off-putting scent. If its performance was exceptional enough to overcome the scent issue, it might be different, but as mentioned, its cleansing effectiveness is just... average. I'll finish the product I have, but it's not something I'd spend my own money on for a repurchase. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 23, 2022
I really appreciated how it gently cleansed my skin without causing any irritation The intense sulfur scent might not be everyone's cup of tea - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinNov 29, 2021
The texture is like fluffy whipped cream, and it lathers up nicely. It doesn't leave your skin feeling tight after cleansing, so I'd recommend it for your morning routine. It foams well and the scent isn't bad, but the cleansing effectiveness isn't great, so I only use it in the morning. - la*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresNov 20, 2021
I appreciate the subtle fragrance and how it cleanses without irritation. The value for money is a bit disappointing... Also, as you can see in the photo, the label peels off with use. It gets on your hands and might stick to your face while cleansing. - ha********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 28, 2021
Gentle enough for morning cleansing and even on days when I only wear sunscreen. It seems to remove everything well. The gel-like texture creates a nice lather and effectively removes excess oil. I'm also using the serum from the same line, which is hydrating and has a great soothing effect. I highly recommend the serum in particular! It contains sulfur powder, which might explain why the scent isn't particularly pleasant. However, I'm satisfied that it doesn't contain artificial fragrances. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 5, 2021
I've never experienced such immediate improvement after using a cleanser before The scent is a bit off-putting. Just like we buy cosmetics at Olive Young or pharmacies here, this is apparently a must-buy pharmacy skincare product in France. They say it's a 4th generation holy grail for cleansing and skincare basics or something like that. Texture: True to its mousse cleanser nature, it has a thicker consistency than regular cleansing foams. It's almost like... toothpaste? It has a light orange tint with a hint of sulfur. While you can definitely detect the sulfur scent, it's not overwhelming and has a floral note to it. It's kind of like a sophisticated perfume smell, quite luxurious! When you work up the lather, it becomes incredibly rich and adheres perfectly to the skin. This makes it great for removing excess oil, caring for pores, and tackling both blackheads and whiteheads. It almost feels like you're doing a foam mask. Experience: Unlike other cleansers that target excess oil and pores, which often leave your skin feeling overly tight or dry afterwards, this one doesn't do that at all. It's like it perfectly balances the oil and moisture in your skin. You can see it bringing out whiteheads and excess oil, but your skin still feels hydrated. It's like sous-vide chicken - the oil comes out, but the moisture stays in! Now I understand why they use this in Europe with its hard water. It leaves your skin texture incredibly smooth. While it's very gentle and non-irritating, I think because I have dry skin, I probably couldn't use it every day. The more you lather, the richer it becomes. Recommended for when you want to gently remove excess oil. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 8, 2020
Garancia's sulfur mousse cleanser has a creamy texture like a mousse cake and is a gentle cleanser. It's a famous pharmacy cosmetic from Monge Pharmacy! It doesn't seem to produce a lot of foam, but since it's made with plant-based ingredients, I'm so impressed by its quality that I don't have any other complaints. It's great as a daily cleanser, even for morning use, because it's so gentle on the skin.
