I chose this product primarily because it doesn't contain any oils, which don't suit me well. After using it for a few days, my hair looked like I'd just stepped out of a salon - the volume was amazing! I'm really satisfied. It has a slightly cool sensation, but not overpowering - just right. I even tried it on my body, and it's surprisingly moisturizing. If it continues to work well, I plan to make it a staple. My kids are using it too, and so far there haven't been any issues. The lather is good, and while I'm not sure if the scent is exactly hinoki cypress, it has a pleasant woody aroma that I like. There's nothing I'm disappointed with yet, but I really hope it doesn't get discontinued. It was a real challenge finding a product without oils - my eyes nearly popped out from searching! Also, I wish it would go on sale more often. I don't have any special tips. Hair Plus is truly great in every way, but this product takes it a step further with added convenience The scent isn't particularly appealing. Since it's an all-in-one, I'll probably use it up quickly
