Even with severely dry lips, you can feel the dead skin cells softening right away. While it didn't completely eliminate my severe chapping, I noticed a significant difference between using it and not using it. Despite its small appearance, the balm format allows you to scoop out small amounts, making it last quite a while! I purchased this through crowdfunding, and apparently it was supposed to come with a spoon? Mine arrived without one. To be honest, I didn't see much of an effect.
