This toner truly lives up to its reputation as a dead skin cell buster! I've tried numerous exfoliating toners to combat those pesky bumps, uneven makeup application, and dryness. I've used many popular ones, including the famous M*d Rose Toner and C*y's Witch Hazel Rose Toner, but they either weren't effective enough or caused skin irritation due to excessive exfoliation. However, ISOI's Blemish Care Toner... and I'm not just saying this because I'm part of The Hwahae Testers... I think it might become my holy grail toner! While I can't claim it's given me perfect skin (that would be a lie!), I feel it's brought out the best in my complexion. The gentle ingredients seem to prevent any stinging or irritation. I've been using it twice daily after cleansing, and I don't feel like there's any dead skin left on my face. While it may not have special functions like treating blemishes or deep hydration, it's top-notch when it comes to exfoliation. What's even better is that unlike other toners that leave my skin feeling sticky or filmy (which I absolutely hate as they often cause breakouts), this one leaves my skin feeling moisturized and smooth, making it perfect for layering other skincare products.
The downside is that my skin has been in good condition lately, so I can't say it's made a dramatic improvement. Also, while it's excellent as an exfoliating toner for regular dead skin cell removal, it doesn't seem to have many additional benefits. It perfectly fulfills its role as a toner, which I love, but if you're looking for extra effects, I'd recommend using an ampoule or essence alongside it.
Use an embossed cotton pad to gently wipe the areas where dead skin cells and sebum are most concerning. Once the embossed side becomes a bit softer, clean other areas, then use the reverse side to pat the skin, adding a bit of hydration for the best results. I particularly focus on the sides of my nose where foundation tends to cling. Making exfoliating toners a part of your routine really helps foundation apply smoothly, giving you that 'peeled egg' skin! I highly recommend incorporating an exfoliating toner into your skincare routine! (However, it's not recommended for those with very sensitive or thin skin.)
