The actual shade is much softer and less vibrant than what you see on the packaging. To be honest, that's its main selling point... But color is crucial for lip products, right? Oh, and while the amount seems very small, it lasts so long that you'll eventually think it's a beast of a product in terms of quantity! The staying power is terrible. You really need to reapply frequently. I've used it for over three months, but in the beginning, the color doesn't stain the applicator tip well, so the pigmentation is even weaker. After some time, the tip gets more saturated with color, and then the pigmentation becomes a bit more intense. Oddly enough, despite being a tint oil, it's drying... It doesn't moisturize at all. In fact, after application and drying, it makes your lips feel even drier. It's definitely not a nourishing oil, but rather just gives a glossy appearance effect. I found the color payoff too weak, so I apply a moisturizing lip balm with a slight reddish tint first (I use either the red Nivea one or the strawberry-colored Vaseline), and then dab this product on top. Those with very dry skin should pay extra attention to lip moisturization. The applicator's angle allows for different effects. For a bold lipstick look, apply it perpendicular to your lip line. For a gradient effect, tilt the applicator to cover the entire lip surface. This creates a more intense color on the inner lips while giving a glossy finish to the outer part.
