I have dry skin prone to blemishes.
I first bought Lucas' Papaw Ointment when my acne got really bad. I was looking for a product that would be effective for blemishes while providing good hydration, and I came across this cream through a group buy.
- Despite being an oil-based product, it doesn't cause blemishes
Although I bought it because it's supposed to be good for acne, it didn't show any effect on my blemishes. However, it didn't make them worse either. My skin is so dry that I applied it all over my face in winter, and I didn't experience any skin irritation from the Papaw Ointment. (Before I knew about Papaw cream, I once applied Vaseline to very dry areas of my face, which resulted in a lot of blemishes.)

For someone like me who feels like their skin is about to crack in winter, this cream was a godsend. Although it didn't help with my acne, I used it as a moisturizer. Even when my lips are severely chapped, applying this immediately soothes them. I have a friend whose lips crack frequently, and when I suggested she try it, she said it worked right away and that she loved it.

I first came across Papaw cream about 4 years ago. At that time, it wasn't that famous. So I bought it based on blog reviews.
- The scent is... questionable?
I heard it had a sweet smell, so I ordered it thinking I could use it without any aversion. But when I smelled it, I was shocked - it was like a fishy odor? I forced myself to apply it despite the smell, but I kept noticing the scent. I ended up abandoning it for almost a month, but when my skin got too dry, I took it out again. Either the scent had faded or I had gotten used to it, because the unpleasant smell was gone. (When it first arrived, the scent was so shocking that I couldn't believe it. I even asked my parents to smell it, and they asked why it smelled so strange... But when I started using it again after some time, I asked my friends to smell it, and they said it had a sweet scent like the blog reviews mentioned.)
