I always wipe the applicator tip before use. For a more natural look, apply a small amount to cover problem areas, then blend it out. (Avoid dabbing directly on top of covered areas. The coverage and adherence are decent. Shades from 21 to 13 should work fine for most people. The coverage isn't bad, and it sets surprisingly quickly. I bought it to conceal dark circles, and while it doesn't completely hide them, it does brighten the area. Unfortunately, it tends to darken over time and seems to separate a bit. Not sure why this happens. You might experience some pilling around areas like the nose. Make sure to set it properly for best results.
