I apply this when I have chapped areas or cracks from extreme dryness. While I've tried oil-based products for dry patches, I don't prefer runny formulas. This product is perfect for me. It doesn't cause any blemishes, so I reach for it often during dry weather. It's quite a rich product, so I wouldn't recommend using it all over as a facial moisturizer. However, if you've been out in dry conditions for a long time and notice white dead skin cells, it's fine to apply a thin layer as the final step in your skincare routine. While it's a shame the scent isn't particularly fresh, it's okay since they haven't added any artificial fragrances. When I get hangnails, I apply this and wait a bit - it makes them smooth out nicely.
