The main ingredient, cornflower, has been used by indigenous people for its eye-beneficial properties. As someone with dark circles, who spends long hours on the computer and suffers from dry eyes, I've tried various eye treatments before. I use this product as an eye pack by soaking a large 8x10cm cotton pad. The scent is reminiscent of astringent black tea. After a short while, there's no irritation, but a cooling sensation similar to mint sets in, without actually lowering the skin temperature. This cooling effect makes my eyes feel incredibly comfortable, so I use it 2-3 times a week. I've also noticed it helps reduce small bumps around my eyes. As a bonus, when my sensitive skin became irritated from wearing masks during the pandemic, this product calmed the itchiness faster (in about 10 minutes) than other soothing products I've tried. Unfortunately, there aren't any Korean-made cornflower water/toner products available. That's why I've been importing Melita products, which offer a rich variety of organic oils and waters. While 'importing' might sound expensive, you can actually find it on Naver for around 12,000 won plus 3,900 won shipping. The only downside is the packaging. Unlike Korean cosmetics that have an extra seal under the cap for freshness, Melita products only have a lid. This can make you question the authenticity and requires you to use your own pump or cap from another product for dispensing. While you can use regular cotton pads for the eye pack, I find larger pads more effective in relieving eye fatigue. I recommend buying 8x10cm spa-grade cotton pads online for a cost-effective and long-lasting solution.
