I received this product as part of The Hwahae Testers program! I used to use cleansing foams, but after switching to low pH products, I've mainly been using cleansing gels. I particularly preferred gels with strong cleansing power, so I was a big fan of Bioderma! I have oily skin that produces a lot of sebum throughout the day, and if I don't use an exfoliating pad daily, my makeup shows visible oil. So I've been doing gentle daily exfoliation and thoroughly removing makeup with cleansing water. I'm the type who prioritizes dead skin cell removal and pore cleansing. I tried powder cleansers from IOPE and samples from cosmetic stores when I was a student, but this is my first time using an enzyme cleanser! Pros: It's not harsh on acne-prone or porous skin, but that doesn't mean it lacks cleansing power! When my acne was severe in the past, I used to use strong foaming cleansers because I hated the feeling of impurities left on my skin. I didn't realize this was actually harmful... Then I gradually switched to gentler foam cleansers, but I was put off by their slippery finish. However, this SRB cleanser gently removes oil in the morning, and in the evening, it's really mild on skin irritated by cleansing water, while still providing adequate hydration. While it may vary from person to person, even for someone like me who's sensitive to cleansing products, I've been using it for two weeks without any issues and find it both mild and effective. (For reference, a cleanser that's mild is the best!) I think the gentleness is this product's best feature! It's my first time using an enzyme product, and I haven't experienced any blemishes! (The scent is slightly nutty, but not to the point of being a drawback.) It's great that it can be used without issues morning or evening. I was worried about it being a powder cleanser, but surprisingly, the powder dissolves well in the foam net, making it easy to use. For oily skin, using a cleansing foam in the morning can be too drying, but just water doesn't feel thorough enough. I really recommend using the SRB with a foam net for cleansing!!! I think even those with dry skin who prefer a clean finish over a moisturizing one will be satisfied. And for those who are a perfect match for enzyme products, you won't regret trying this - it'll likely become a go-to in your daily routine!
Cons: To be honest, I was so pleased to find a mild cleanser that doesn't cause blemishes after a long time, that it was hard to think of drawbacks... But if I had to mention something! Those sensitive to scents might find the nutty aroma a bit unpleasant! When I rubbed it with my hands, I didn't notice the scent much, but when I used it with the foam net, it was quite noticeable! Although it becomes more neutral as you roll it, if you're sensitive to fragrances, you might want to reconsider. It might be a bit challenging for those who don't use tools or often forget to use them! I tried using it with bare hands, and it was difficult to create foam, making it impossible to thoroughly cleanse the skin. Those who find using tools bothersome might not have a good first impression of this product! Also, those who prefer rich, creamy foam might not be satisfied! The reason I mentioned people who often forget is that if you leave the lid open in a humid bathroom, the powder inside might become damp and clumpy! It's written on the back of the product too! It's a cleanser that requires a bit of care in storage, which can be slightly inconvenient.
Especially if you vigorously rub it in the foam net to create a rich lather, it's less irritating to the skin and easier to roll. Being an enzyme product, you can even leave it on for about 30 seconds like a foam pack without harming your skin! (Of course, it won't produce as much foam as soap or cleansing foam, but if you squeeze out the water from the net and use about a 50 won coin-sized amount, it creates a lot of foam! Just keep in mind that it's definitely not a rich, creamy foam.)
