My scalp is so oily that if I skip washing for even a day, it gets greasy. But after using this Monchamp shampoo, the oil is completely gone. It's truly the best for oily scalps. Maybe because it doesn't lather much, it doesn't feel like it's cleaning thoroughly. It's literally like washing your hair with soap. Also, it makes my hair feel very stiff and dry. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAug 9, 2016
I discovered this French shampoo bar from Monchampain while searching for a chemical-free shampoo. What I loved most was its sulfate-free formula. It's also great that it's certified organic in France and uses plant-based surfactants. I chose the green variant for oily scalps, which helps balance oil and moisture. I appreciated that even the green color comes from natural, not chemical dyes. And don't worry about lather - it produces an incredibly rich foam! While the overall ingredients are gentler compared to other shampoos, I experienced slight scalp itching about half a day after washing. This might be due to some allergens in the formula. Interestingly, I've used other products with these allergens without issues, so I'm not sure which specific ingredient is causing the irritation. It's possible that some natural ingredient just doesn't agree with me. Also, ladies with long hair might need to consider hair texture. While it's not impossible to comb through, hair below the shoulders might benefit from additional hair essences, oils, conditioners, or treatments. For reference, my father finds this sufficient for his short hair. For women, instead of rubbing the shampoo bar directly on your scalp, try this trick: wrap your hair around the donut-shaped bar and rotate it. This method creates a rich lather more quickly and easily.
