I've been using this as a toner for nearly a decade. Whenever I switch to other products, I always regret it and come back to this one. It effectively removes any residue or dead skin cells that weren't cleaned off during face washing. As someone with oily skin, I feel it provides quite good hydration after use. Despite containing alcohol, it doesn't dry out or cause deep dryness, which I really appreciate. I couldn't really feel the astringent effect or any pore-tightening benefits. I was worried that the low price might mean lower quality, and that it might run like water or leave my skin dry after application. But I was pleasantly surprised by how moisturizing and nice it actually is. I deliberately chose the unscented version, but there's still a lingering smell that made me wonder what was going on. It's tolerable though. Even when I layer it multiple times due to dryness, it absorbs well into my skin.
