I was searching for a 2.5% retinol product and ended up purchasing this one from overseas. First off, the price was quite reasonable, and the ingredients seemed gentle. The reviews looked promising too. After trying it, I found it didn't cause much irritation. The texture is a bit thick, so it doesn't run or drip. I felt like it might have had some effect, but that's about it. The serum's texture is quite thick, making it difficult to absorb well. When applied, there's no slight stinging sensation or mild redness that you'd typically expect from retinol, which usually indicates it's working. I wonder if it's missing AHA or BHA ingredients that might contribute to that effect. It's surprising for a 2.5% retinol product. With almost no irritation, I suspect its effectiveness is compromised. While I did experience a slight tightening sensation, it only seemed to dry out my skin. I didn't notice any significant improvements in wrinkles or skin firmness. The excessive dryness makes it unusable for me, unfortunately.
