  I stumbled upon the Acnes Spot Clear Gel after hearing it's great for pustular blemishes, so I bought it at Olive Young. I've used up one tube completely and now I'm on my second purchase! The formula is exactly what you'd expect from a spot gel - transparent with a slight viscosity. To use, apply a generous amount to the affected areas with a cotton swab after your skincare routine. The effects are amazing - the next day, you'll notice your blemishes have calmed down! It works wonders on pustular acne and those stubborn spots that can't be popped. You can really feel the soothing effect overnight! It's become an absolute essential in my skincare routine that I can't do without. Olive Young often has sales, and when you buy it, you even get two foam cleanser samples!

  The gel can pill like rubber when it dries, so avoid touching your face after application! It's best to use this only at night before bed.

  When I had pustular acne or whiteheads, I applied this product on specific areas before bed, and the next day, the blemishes had noticeably subsided. I really appreciated that aspect of the product.

  Cons

  As I mentioned in the positive points, I accidentally applied it to a pustular pimple and it stung so badly that I had to wipe it off immediately. It's crucial to be careful where you apply it. Also, it has a somewhat sticky texture, so be cautious not to let it get on your hair! Oh, and I remember one time when I applied it before sleeping, I woke up to find it had hardened and was peeling off like dead skin cells. I didn't like that, which is why I deducted some stars.

  I almost cried when I saw so few stars as soon as I opened the app. This is the only product that has actually worked for me. You can see the results immediately after applying it. Whether it's scars or blemishes, I only use this product when something appears on my face. I highly recommend it! I went to more than 5 Olive Young stores trying to find this product. Please don't disappear!

  Cons

  When you apply it, it kind of solidifies? It changes texture and comes off like eraser shavings when you touch it. It gets really messy if it gets on your pillow or if you accidentally touch your face, which is a bit annoying.

  Tip

  Please, just buy it! I planned to take photos for a week but gave up, so these are only from two consecutive days. The effects might not be as visible, but it's really great!

  As someone with acne-prone skin, I applied this whenever blemishes popped up. Amazingly, they calmed down quickly after using it overnight! The scent isn't overpowering either. Honestly, nothing else compares to this product!!!

  Cons

  It contains quite a few harmful ingredients... Be aware that as it dries, it leaves a white film-like residue, which can be bothersome. That's why I only used it at night.

  Gently pat it on whenever blemishes appear

  After popping a blemish, I used to worry about patches falling off, and it was annoying to see them stuck all over. But with this, you just need to lightly apply it with a cotton swab. As it dries, it forms a protective layer that's great as a patch alternative. It actually helps calm the skin too.

  Cons

  Applying this directly on a freshly popped blemish might sting quite a bit, which shows how strong it is. Once it's dry, even the slightest touch can make it peel off like dead skin. It's best not to touch the areas where you've applied it.

  Tip

  For those thinking of applying a thick layer or just plopping it on top of blemishes hoping for better soothing effects - I absolutely don't recommend that! I tried that once, thinking more would be better, but it actually caused tiny bumps to appear and irritated my skin so much it started peeling. It's best to just apply a thin layer with a cotton swab.

  This seems perfect for pustular acne! When applied to red, swollen, pus-filled blemishes before bed, you can visibly see how much it calms them down by morning.

  Cons

  It dries quickly after application, but as it dries, it forms a white film-like layer. You absolutely can't apply makeup over this, which is frustrating. It's disappointing that you can only use it before bedtime.

  My skin suddenly started breaking out, so I bought this in desperation, grasping at straws. I'm happy to say I'm satisfied with the results! When I applied it to existing blemishes and newly formed spots before bed, I could definitely feel the calming effect by morning. If I consistently applied it without touching the affected areas, some spots even disappeared completely.

  After applying, the scent changes over time into a strange, ointment-like smell. As the liquid dries, it forms a film-like layer on the skin. Because of this, when you try to apply other products on top, it tends to pill and roll off like dead skin cells.

  Pros

  A brand targeting blemishes specifically. It was effective on pustular acne. It worked better on pustules, but less so on whiteheads. You won't see immediate results; consistent application is key. As I used it as a spot treatment, I think the amount is quite generous compared to other acne spot treatments.

  Cons

  Being a fast-drying gel type, it absorbs very quickly. However, due to the gel's nature, it forms a film as it dries, which can lead to some dryness and flaking. This makes it challenging to use before or after makeup. For women, it's best to apply it only in the evening. Since it contains a low concentration of salicylic acid, sunscreen is a must if used during the day. While it's on the affordable side, at this price point, a benzoyl peroxide product might be more effective.

  Tip

  This isn't a pro tip, just my personal method. I mix this with Paula's Choice 2% BHA and use it as a spot treatment. When targeting whiteheads, I apply it and let it dry. As it shrivels up, the whitehead emerges and naturally falls off during cleansing. Using BHA alone can be slower, but this combination is unbeatable.
