The official name of this product is L'ombre et la Rose, which means 'The Shadow and the Rose'. The coral shade in the center is a blush called 'Intrigue', while the light purple on the left is an eyeshadow named 'Lilac Rose', and the deep brown on the right is 'Bourbon Rose'. Chantecaille's limited edition products are all exquisitely crafted. The intricate rose pattern looks like a work of art, and the color payoff is incredibly vibrant and beautiful. As expected from Chantecaille, the texture is super smooth and long-lasting. The blush in the middle can actually double as an eyeshadow without any issues. It's quite pigmented too. Although muted coral tones don't particularly suit my complexion, I've been focusing on using the eyeshadows on either side. The case is a fingerprint magnet. Once you open and use it, it gets covered in smudges. Also, since it's a powder eyeshadow, there's some fallout when you carry it around, which can make a mess inside. Some people say there's no fallout, but I seem to experience it with all powder shadows - maybe it's just me. It's also a discontinued product. It was a limited edition release for Spring 2007, originally priced at $175, and briefly reappeared as a 'Deal of the Day' on O Magazine for $79 in 2010. I managed to snag a new one on eBay for $55. It's a shame it's discontinued - I'd love to gift it to someone. I wish they'd bring back all these beautiful limited editions as permanent products. I've occasionally spotted it at flea markets. Even if it came back, I probably wouldn't repurchase. The quantity is just too much. It's labeled as 0.77 oz (22 grams), and I have no idea how long I've been using it. I know powder products don't really expire due to their dry nature, so I'm not too worried about using it. But it feels like it's meant to last a lifetime... and I can't use this exclusively every day. As mentioned earlier, the blush works great as an eyeshadow too, with excellent color payoff and adherence. This product actually has separate ingredient lists for the eyeshadow and blush, but it seems the blush ingredients were omitted during registration. Update: The blush ingredients weren't omitted - the Hwahae team actually did a separate ingredient analysis and posted it. If you search for the Chantecaille brand, you'll find the blush ingredients listed separately! Looking at the blush ingredients, I'm a bit concerned about using it on the eyes, but I've worn it for hours without any issues. I've added product and swatch photos. Natural light is best for accurate color representation, but I had to use fluorescent lighting, which might have distorted the colors a bit. My phone camera isn't the best quality either, unfortunately.
