If you peel off just one layer from a 5-ply cotton pad to use, the pad absorbs less of the toner. This helps save product and allows just the right amount to be applied to your skin, making it easier to control the quantity. For whiteheads, gently rubbing with a dampened cotton pad can make most of them disappear.

If you rub a bit harder trying to remove dead skin cells or whiteheads, your skin might turn red. Those with super sensitive skin should probably use this carefully. Though, it could just be an issue with the cotton pads!

I've been using this every evening with a cotton pad. While it doesn't exfoliate as thoroughly as a peeling treatment, the flaky white dead skin cells I used to get in winter have disappeared since I started using this. Sometimes, the cotton pad turns slightly yellowish after use - whether it's sebum or makeup residue, I'm not sure, but it makes me feel like I'm effectively managing impurities. There's almost no tightness after use, and it's great as a soothing mask when blemishes pop up. I've been using the original version for three bottles now, but when it was temporarily out of stock, I tried the yuzu version - the scent is quite nice too!

While it's light to use, I had the impression that it's neither particularly good nor bad for the skin. Rather than thinking 'I'll use this again next time,' it just felt average.

As you can see, it's easy to apply. After application, there isn't much stickiness left, so I feel I've used it well.

It gushes out uncontrollably... I tried to apply it to a cotton pad, but ended up showering my entire arm in toner.
2. Slightly irritating
Perhaps due to its exfoliating properties... it can be a bit harsh.
On days when my skin was sensitive, it stung,
and on particularly bad days, there was a slight tingling sensation.
3. Slight alcohol scent
If you're sensitive to smells, this might be uncomfortable for you.

I was impressed with its exfoliating power - so much so that you don't need a separate exfoliator.

Try using it as a mist too! It's absolutely brilliant!

While the original was fine with its unscented formula, this one has a surprisingly strong yuzu scent that might be polarizing. Personally, I didn't care for it.

The Nightingale toner seems to be the best cleansing toner for me after washing my face. It also appears to improve my complexion and give my skin a more vibrant look.

I haven't noticed any downsides yet... It suits my skin perfectly.

Feels more hydrating than before, giving a brighter complexion. Has a subtle citrusy scent, reminiscent of yuzu. The texture is lightweight.

Since it's completely liquid, I recommend using it with a cotton pad. If you spray it on your hands, this cheeky product gets absorbed right away. You might think 'Oh, where did it go?' and spray more, only to have it drip through your fingers. You know the drill - cotton pads are your friends here! Rather than applying a lot at once, it's better to layer it on in 3-4 light applications!

Is there really anything bad to say? The 20-character minimum for negatives seems a bit harsh, to be honest.

The packaging was surprisingly inconvenient, which was quite disappointing. The consistency is so thin that it's best applied with a cotton pad for ease of use. The lack of viscosity combined with the impractical packaging made it doubly frustrating to use.

I folded a wet wipe, soaked it with the toner, and used it as a mask. When touching up my makeup, I usually use a mist, but I found mixing 2-3 drops of facial oil into the toner works wonders. It leaves the skin hydrated while also providing some richness. In this hot weather, though, I'd recommend using just one drop for a lighter feel.

It would be nice if it came with special cotton pads for use as a cleansing toner. Also, I found the instruction leaflet, which is characteristic of Nightingale products, a bit difficult to read. As someone who likes to read instructions thoroughly, I struggled with it.

Being a natural product, it felt gentle on my skin and had a pleasant yuzu scent. When my makeup started to look patchy or my skin felt a bit dry, I'd soak a cotton pad generously and leave it on like a mask for about 10 minutes. The absorption was amazing, leaving my skin incredibly hydrated! I was initially worried the yuzu scent might make it sticky, but there's absolutely no stickiness at all. The volume is great, and it's available for different skin types, which is perfect for seasonal skin changes. I've tried both the all-skin and dry skin versions, but I preferred the one for dry skin.
