I loved how smooth and moisturizing it was. I have some dead skin cells on my lips, so I prefer products that are hydrating. I'd recommend this to people like me who need that extra moisture. I swatched it in the photo, let it dry, and then tried to remove it. Unfortunately, I found the staying power to be average to low, which was a bit disappointing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 26, 2018
The color is so pretty!! I bought it because I absolutely loved the shade. Although it's from the moisture line, it's not that hydrating to be honest. I actually found it to be closer to a matte finish. At some point, my lips started to feel itchy, then they turned red and swollen. I even developed some kind of rash around my lips. When I went to the doctor, they said it was an allergic reaction with blisters and prescribed me some medication. I haven't used this lipstick for a while now. It's such a shame. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 12, 2018
Smooth and moisturizing application. Hardly any emphasis on dead skin cells. A perfect lipstick for fall and winter! The color is displayed on top, making it easy to find and use. It transfers easily. The color payoff is minimal, so the staying power isn't great. Apply lip oil for an even more hydrated and plump lip look. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSep 25, 2017
First off, I loved how well it adheres to the lips! The color payoff is great, and it's so moisturizing that it seems to stick even better. It applies with a nice, firm texture. The color looks pretty similar to what you see in the tube. If you've been wanting to try a purple lip but haven't had the courage, this might be a good one to start with! The taste is really, really bland... It's genuinely much worse than others. And because it's so moisturizing, it doesn't apply well to the inner part of the lips, so it feels like you're just lining the outer edges. I think it looks prettier when used with other lip products rather than on its own! If you apply a pink or red lip color first and then layer this on top, you get a nice purple tint with a firm texture. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 2, 2017
This is truly my MLBB (My Lips But Better) shade. I'm honestly baffled why purple is my MLBB, but it's an unexpected cool-tone revelation! I always thought I was a warm autumn. It's almost identical to my natural lip color, but even prettier. It's not a harsh purple, but rather a muted, sophisticated red-purple when applied. Of course, if you layer it on, it leans more towards a grape hue! I originally bought it as a winter experiment, thinking it was a true purple, but it's so beautiful I can wear it all year round. I alternate between this and It's Skin Rosy Berry. It's become my daily go-to and holy grail! As someone with extremely dry lips that crack even after just brushing my teeth, I'm not sure if this really qualifies as a 'moisture' line. While it's definitely not matte, I dislike how it sometimes settles into lip lines if I don't apply a lip gloss. My routine is lip balm -> lipstick -> clear lip gloss. Since heavy makeup tends to age my appearance (sigh), I find that adding lip gloss not only softens the color but also makes it more to my liking. - cj*********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinWrinkles/ElasticityFeb 14, 2017
The lipstick cutting from The Face Shop turned out beautifully this time. It feels so good to apply with just a few swipes! Even though it's labeled as 'moisture', I thought it might be mushy like a lip balm, wear off quickly, or have weak color payoff. But when I tested it alongside the matte version, there wasn't much difference. In fact, it was great at smoothing out dead skin cells. When I tested it, my lips were a bit chapped and messy, but it didn't hurt at all - it was comfortable and had good staying power. And the color! I've been disappointed by the lack of MLBB shades for cool tones in road shops (and even when they exist, they often catch on dry patches). As someone with a light undertone who suits medium-low brightness and low saturation, this was a perfect MLBB match for me. The case... Oh dear. The case is the weak point. The design feels inferior to previous releases, and it doesn't seem to match the quality of the lipstick itself. When you twist it up, it doesn't glide smoothly - instead, it jerks up abruptly, which is surprising. Still, the product inside is so good that if you transferred it to a high-end container, no one would be able to tell the difference! Summer muted low-chroma folks, why aren't you buying this? For those who don't know about undertones and such, if you've tried mainstream brick-toned MLBBs and felt they made you look sickly, emphasized your lips too much, or just didn't sit right, give this one a test! - mi*******Dry SkinFeb 11, 2017
I've avoided lipsticks due to dead skin cells being emphasized, but this one barely shows any and keeps my lips so moisturized! The color is beautiful too, I'm in love! There's not really anything bad... Though in winter, when exposed to cold winds, it might show a bit of dead skin cells. - dl*********Dry SkinFeb 8, 2017
The color is truly beautiful! My face tends to be on the yellow side, but it suits me so well. Even though my lips are prone to showing dead skin cells, this doesn't emphasize them at all! There's nothing particularly bad, but the texture is a bit on the firm side! I personally like it that way, but it might be a matter of personal preference. - km*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessJan 24, 2017
First off, the color payoff is great, but what I love most is how it adheres perfectly to the lips. It's not drying, yet it doesn't disappear quickly. This is what a truly 'plump' feeling lipstick should be like. It doesn't transfer much and stays put. The color is a purple-ish shade... It's beautiful! While not flashy, I think it's a unique color that's not commonly seen. Ultimately, the most important advantage is its excellent adherence to the lips. To be honest, there aren't many downsides. I'm using it with satisfaction, but if I had to mention something, this shade might not suit everyone. The lipstick itself is great, so test it out and choose a color that fits your preference. (Moisture...!! I feel like the Moisture line is the best in this range) If you feel the lipstick color is a bit dark with your makeup, you can apply a light layer of orange-toned tint before the lipstick for a more vibrant purple shade. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 18, 2017
The color is absolutely gorgeous!! It's like a beautiful reddish-brown shade. My friends tease me saying it makes me look like a grandma, but it's so pretty I can't help but repurchase. Since a full lip application can be a bit much, I like to dab it on gently. It looks absolutely stunning. Highly recommended! While it's moisturizing and feels nice if your lips are in good condition, it tends to emphasize dead skin cells if you have a lot of them. If you have very dry lips, a lip balm underneath is a must. I wouldn't recommend this for those with yellow undertones. My mom has a warm autumn complexion, and it really didn't suit her at all. It made her lips look like they were just covered in reddish-brown paste, giving off a rather unfashionable appearance.
