I'm leaving a review for this lip product that I had zero expectations for, but I'm surprisingly loving it! It's not a completely matte lip, and it actually feels quite moisturizing when applied. That's why I found it perfectly fine to just swipe it on quickly without a base lip product! The only downside might be that its staying power isn't particularly strong? I usually avoid very matte products as they can accentuate dead skin cells, but I bought this because the color was so beautiful. I'm pleasantly surprised that it's quite moisturizing and doesn't highlight any flakiness. The color is absolutely gorgeous too! I don't usually go for intense shades, but I decided to give this a try. As expected, it's way too intense for me. I absolutely adore the Mad Matte Lip in Sensual Pepper - I've gone through 7 tubes! Wanting to switch things up, I was exploring other Mad Matte Lip options when I heard about this new line. While it's not quite as amazing as the original Mad Matte Lip, it's still better than most matte lipsticks out there. The color wasn't quite what I expected since I bought it based on photos without testing, which is a bit disappointing. But I'm planning to try other shades too! I thought it wouldn't be too deep, but it turned out to be vampire red incarnate. It's very deep! But when applied lightly, it gives off a lovely plum pink hue. It's absolutely gorgeous! I wish the color payoff was as intense as the shade itself, and it showed an incredible matte finish. It's closer to a slightly moisturizing matte finish rather than a completely matte one! At first, it feels hydrating, but if left on for too long, it can slightly emphasize dead skin cells. The color is a burgundy that leans towards red, which I found quite satisfying. The staying power was a bit disappointing as it tends to transfer easily onto cups and masks!
