Transparent feel & non-sticky Vaseline-like glow The Canmake Syrup Tint feels more like a lip gloss than a tint. One application gives a subtle hint of color, while layering builds up a beautifully transparent hue. Honestly, I expected a slightly sticky lip gloss texture before buying, but it's not sticky at all. Instead, it has a smooth Vaseline-like texture when you rub your lips together! The glow is incredibly clear and plump, which I absolutely love!! Calm wine-red shade While it looked like an orchid purple on the official website, the actual color is a muted plum-wine red. I personally adore muted shades, so I'm very pleased! It's definitely darker than the Cherry Tree Syrup I bought with it, so even one or two layers give quite an intense color. If Cherry Tree Syrup is more like a lip gloss, Plum Syrup feels more like a tint. Oh... surprisingly good staining power and longevity I thought the staying power would be terrible, but even after the shine fades, it leaves a natural reddish stain that lasts quite a while. It doesn't break down messily either! Also, only the smooth Vaseline-like shine transfers to masks, not the tint itself. While it may not be the best for the COVID era, it's not bad at all! Slightly heavy and suffocating Since the color payoff isn't that intense, you end up applying multiple layers to achieve the desired shade. This can make your lips feel a bit heavy and suffocating! Imagine the feeling of slathering on a thick layer of Vaseline before bed - that's what it's like. With Plum Syrup, I found that applying just two layers gives a natural wine-colored tint. - km*****Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 6, 2021
It's a slightly toned-down plum pink shade. I liked that it doesn't stain too intensely, giving a more subtle color payoff. Among moisturizing tints, this one seems to have lower adherence. It feels a bit like a lip oil, sitting on top of the lips rather than fully absorbing. However, it looks pretty if you apply one layer for a stain, then add another coat. Also, the product volume seems a bit small.
