I bought this for my father when he complained about an itchy, flaky scalp. After reading positive reviews, I decided to give it a try. After a few weeks of use, he said the itchiness was gone and his scalp had improved. He's now on his second bottle. Recently, when my mom, sister, and I all experienced scalp issues due to a problematic shampoo, I remembered this black garlic shampoo and purchased it for us too. By the way, they were incredibly generous with the gratis items! While it worked well for my dad, unfortunately, it didn't suit my mom, sister, or me. Our scalp issues started when our regular shampoo suddenly didn't agree with us. We tried a black bean shampoo bar, which helped, but it dissolved too quickly and was inconvenient to use. So we looked for a bottled shampoo and tried this black garlic one. Sadly, it made our scalp problems flare up again for all three of us. We've stopped using it and switched to Head & Shoulders and Nature's Black Bean shampoo, which seem to be helping. On top of that, after using this shampoo, I suddenly developed a lot of blemishes on the back of my neck and along my hairline on my forehead. I absolutely adore this shampoo and hope it never gets discontinued! Despite its name, it has a refreshing minty scent. Even with my long hair, just half a pump creates a rich lather. Best of all, it seems to reduce scalp odor, which I love. I wish they'd offer a larger size at a more affordable price. The volume is a bit small... And when I first tried to turn the pump, it was really difficult to open. I was worried about the scent because it's black garlic, but I personally like it. It helps soothe itchiness and lathers well even with a small amount. If you leave it on for about 2 minutes, your scalp feels refreshingly cool. It doesn't have any effect on hair texture. I think it would be better to use a conditioner or treatment.

I struggled with seborrheic dermatitis that spread to my face in my teens, and in my twenties, I've been battling scalp blemishes. I've used popular shampoos like The Body Shop's Ginger and Nature's Black Bean, but thought it might be good to switch things up periodically. After getting a recommendation, I tried this and it's absolutely amazing! When I use this for my second shampoo and thoroughly dry my scalp with a hairdryer, the blemishes almost disappear within 3 days. Great price too - it's perfect! If I had to nitpick, it's not particularly effective for improving hair texture. It leaves a slightly stiff feeling... But that's easily solved with conditioner or treatment, so it's not really an issue. Please, just don't discontinue this product!
