It contains shimmer, but when applied to the lips, it's not overwhelming at all. The subtle sparkle is absolutely stunning. As for the plumping effect... I'm not sure, but it's just beautiful. You should definitely get it! If you fail to control the amount, you might end up looking like a clown... If you dislike sticky textures, it might be uncomfortable for you (though I personally love it). Since glossy lips are all the rage these days, I decided to try out this so-called "tanghulu tint." To be honest, I felt a bit guilty about the price, but I have to say, it does give a slight plumping effect when applied. The sparkly finish is subtly charming and pretty when you look at it. The staying power was quite disappointing. After drinking water or eating a meal, one glance in the mirror and it's all gone. It was a letdown how quickly the shine faded away. The sparkle in this tint is gorgeous! It has great glow longevity, and it looks amazing when you apply it for a radiant finish. Absorbs well, feels refreshing when applied, and slightly plumps up the lips. I'm satisfied. Nothing particularly bad, but the scent isn't my style and it's a bit too shimmery for me. Apply it little by little.
