Here's my trick: use a lip mask to soften those dead skin cells, let it sit while you do the rest of your makeup, then gently remove the flakes before applying. It works like a charm!

If your lips are dehydrated, this doesn't apply smoothly—you really need to prep your lips first to make it work.
