Recommended for those with good skin who want a thin, glowing complexion. My skin wasn't great before, but this applies incredibly thinly. It has absolutely no coverage. The consistency is way too runny. Use it sparingly with a puff for application. - yy*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDark CirclesRednessDead Skin CellsSep 15, 2024
It gives a nice glow without being overly shiny. Personally, I felt it was closer to a semi-glow finish. It's not that the makeup breaks down, it's more like it disappears...? I was surprised to find my face bare when I got home and checked. - se********Dry SkinSep 6, 2024
The positives...? It makes your skin look decent right when you first apply it. It gives a glow. The case is pretty... that's about it. Honestly, this is by far the worst cushion I've ever used. 1. Glow As I have dry skin, I usually go for moisturizing cushions to avoid flakiness and that parched feeling. I typically opt for 'glow' products, but this one just shines. And not in a pretty way. Instead of looking dewy, it makes you look like an oil slick. 2. Pore coverage? Non-existent. Sure, most glow products aren't known for their coverage. But even they usually manage to blur minor pores, if not the larger ones. This one? It seems to highlight every pore on my face, even ones I didn't know existed! (At least I got a good look at my skin, I guess.) It looks okay for about 5 minutes after application, then it's like it vanishes. I know I put makeup on, but all my pores are on full display and my skin just feels heavy. I'd honestly look better bare-faced. 3. The shade is way too light I usually wear shade 21, which typically matches well or is sometimes even a tad dark for me. But this? It's way too light. And not in a flattering way either. 4. The more you pat with the puff, the more it comes off. This cushion doesn't even deserve 1 star... The blog reviews looked decent, but maybe it's just me? My skin isn't even bad - I'm often complimented on it. How flawless does your skin need to be to make this work? Anyway, I'm glad they discontinued this. If anyone's thinking of buying it, I'd grab them by the ankles to stop them. I love Peripera's color cosmetics, but their base products? Not so much... I actually bought this a while ago but barely used it before shoving it in a drawer. I tried it again recently and was shocked all over again, which is why I'm writing this review now. Everyone needs to know about this. - ja************Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRednessRecommendedAug 1, 2024
As someone with combination dehydrated skin in summer and extremely dry skin in winter, I swear by glow cushions all year round. This one is wonderfully hydrating! The coverage and lasting power are about average. The adherence to the skin is a bit lacking. If you don't have a solid skincare base, it tends to look patchy on the skin. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessRecommendedMay 19, 2024
It gives a really nice glow and has a cooling effect when applied. I didn't experience much darkening either. I don't have large pores, so I'm not sure about that, but it really emphasized the texture of my skin. It seems to sit on top of the skin rather than absorbing well. - lj**********Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityMay 10, 2024
First off, it goes on incredibly white! The more layers you apply, the whiter it gets. It's super hydrating, so I'd recommend it for dry skin types... Just kidding! Don't buy this, everyone! The biggest drawback is that the darkening effect is absolutely insane. Also, while it feels super rich when you first apply it, after about an hour your face just looks dull. Secondly, I'm not sure if it's just mine, but the pilling is really bad (so stressful!). Lastly, the smell is way too strong. (Sorry about my missing eyebrows in the photo!) - vl*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinMar 1, 2024
Terrible! Made my face look sallow and dead skin cells appeared immediately after applying makeup The dead skin cell buildup is no joke. Worst case scenario. Bought it because it looked pretty, but had to toss it What a waste of money, I'm so frustrated - su*********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 28, 2024
It's incredibly moisturizing, perfect for when your skin feels dry. The color is clean and clear. If you usually wear shade 21, I think shade 2 would be a great match for you. It's not really suitable for summer use. Being such a hydrating cushion, it definitely seems to transfer quite a bit. - 89********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 15, 2024
The color is absolutely stunning and the packaging is gorgeous The coverage is extremely disappointing and it has almost no staying power - Hwahae UserDry SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRednessRecommendedFeb 14, 2024
First off, the exterior design with its mirror finish is absolutely stunning. To be honest, I bought it for the design alone. The coverage is decent, and it's a product you can use comfortably for everyday wear. The puff that comes with the cushion is soft and squishy, which makes for great application. However, if you don't have a solid skincare and base makeup routine, it tends to separate on the skin.
