Cheap... That's about the only positive thing I can say. Brand recognition? Maybe the portability is a plus. Now, I have a lot to say. I thought Pond's, being a pioneer in cleansing, would at least be decent. But it's so disappointing that I can't tell if new brands have significantly improved or if Pond's has regressed. My typical weekday makeup routine is quite extensive: base prep, Sidmool sunscreen, YSL cushion, Lilybyred liner, blush, highlighter, and under-eye concealer. It's practically a full face, and it's quite intense. I only vary with mascara. Lip and eye makeup are essential for me, so I've tried many removers. This one stands out as particularly bad. Here's why: 1. The pad is rough and irritating to the skin. Mind you, I have resilient skin - I even used exfoliating towels when I was younger. The pad is thick, but not in a good way. It's not plump with cleansing liquid; it's just stiff and bulky. 2. It really doesn't remove makeup well. It's frustrating! With mascara, I've had to use cotton swabs at the sink multiple times to avoid looking like a panda after washing. 3. Quantity issues. The pads are thick, but they seem to have skimped on the product (perhaps a cost-cutting measure from the Daiso collaboration). With other pads, I could remove lip and eye makeup and still have enough left for face makeup. With these, it's one and done after lip and eye. 4. Price - 2000 won at Daiso. Sounds cheap? Well, you can get this price for two Pretty pads or five Ariel pads. Only use these for travel or if you wear very light makeup.
