Cheap... That's about the only positive thing I can say. Brand recognition? Maybe the portability is a plus. Now, I have a lot to say. I thought Pond's, being a pioneer in cleansing, would at least be decent. But it's so disappointing that I can't tell if new brands have significantly improved or if Pond's has regressed. My typical weekday makeup routine is quite extensive: base prep, Sidmool sunscreen, YSL cushion, Lilybyred liner, blush, highlighter, and under-eye concealer. It's practically a full face, and it's quite intense. I only vary with mascara. Lip and eye makeup are essential for me, so I've tried many removers. This one stands out as particularly bad. Here's why: 1. The pad is rough and irritating to the skin. Mind you, I have resilient skin - I even used exfoliating towels when I was younger. The pad is thick, but not in a good way. It's not plump with cleansing liquid; it's just stiff and bulky. 2. It really doesn't remove makeup well. It's frustrating! With mascara, I've had to use cotton swabs at the sink multiple times to avoid looking like a panda after washing. 3. Quantity issues. The pads are thick, but they seem to have skimped on the product (perhaps a cost-cutting measure from the Daiso collaboration). With other pads, I could remove lip and eye makeup and still have enough left for face makeup. With these, it's one and done after lip and eye. 4. Price - 2000 won at Daiso. Sounds cheap? Well, you can get this price for two Pretty pads or five Ariel pads. Only use these for travel or if you wear very light makeup. I bought it for travel use at Daiso, but it wiped off better than I expected and didn't irritate my eyes. The mascara also came off. It's great as a travel item. Size: Small enough to carry in a bag and easy to store in the bathroom, powder room, or on a desk. Cleansing power: The average staining lipstick is easily wiped off in one swipe. The round shape allows you to wipe it a few times. Material: The material is similar to a slightly thicker toner pad. There are embossed and non-embossed sides. Moisturizing: Quite moisturizing. It's gentle on the eyes when removing makeup, and doesn't sting the lips either. Overall, it's very mild. The cleansing effectiveness is a bit disappointing. I rubbed hard on my lips, but it didn't remove the makeup well. As for mascara, I had to rub so much that I felt like I was pulling out my eyelashes just to get it off...

I love that it's easily available at Daiso! It's great for removing eye and lip makeup, making it super convenient for travel. It's perfect as a portable option. Surprisingly, it's not too harsh even if it gets in your eyes! It would be nice if there was a bit more product in each pack. The cleansing effectiveness is decent, and I like the scent too. Using this first before your regular cleansing routine makes your skin feel so much fresher.
