As someone with cold hands and feet, I loved how it warmed up my legs. It's great that it can even treat the calves! While you're supposed to use it for 30 minutes to an hour, it can get too hot if you go beyond 40 minutes. When you open it, there's an artificial hinoki scent mixed with a medicinal smell. When you first put your feet in, it feels like dipping them in aloe gel - cool and soothing. I saw many blog reviews saying it doesn't warm up, but if you massage it well at the start, it gradually warms up. After 30 minutes, it gets quite hot - almost too hot to handle! The best part is that it doesn't leak even when lying down, and after removing it, it doesn't drip. It clings to your skin like a body emulsion. I love that it doesn't run, but the stickiness that remains makes it hard to sleep as it sticks to the bedding and leaves your legs feeling tacky. However, after standing for 8 hours at work, using this leaves my legs pain-free and refreshed. However, there's a burning sensation on the skin, similar to wearing a pain relief patch for too long. It's quite harsh, so I wouldn't recommend it for those with super sensitive skin or right after hair removal. The heating mechanism seems more chemical than physical. I probably won't repurchase, but it might be worth trying if it's on sale or given as a gift. Instead of buying this, you could try a simple DIY method. Prepare a damp towel and a ziplock bag. Heat the towel in the microwave, then place it in the ziplock bag for a hot compress. It's gentler on the skin and works just fine.
